I have been contemplating for sometime whether I should sell my 99 XKR. I just don't get to use it anything like I had hoped to.
Its in great condition just 66k miles but when I check out the prices some of them from dealers are I think very high at £12k. The other interesting thing is one dealer says he expects them to double in price in the next 5 years quite a bold statement indeed.
If they are going to go up like that I will keep it but personally I just cant see it.

X300/308 XJR prices seem to be good right now & the cars appear to sell, apart from those that think a 2002 car is worth £15k, definitely up on a year ago but I really don't see a reason for such a massive hike like your dealer is suggesting.

possibly because he has his priced at £12k for a 2000 Car I have also seen Arun with similar priced Cars.
I don't like seeing it lying there doing nothing I cant see it going up much in Value if I am honest so I think I will advertise it this week. it will be weird not having a Jag I have had XJS's and XJ's for 10 years now.

Arun bought a 37k miles 2000 XJR from auction for £11k. It sold within a month. They had it up for £14,995!

I've never known a dealer trying sell you a classic car telling you they are going down in price!
But most of the good XKR/XJR and DSV8 cars seem to be holding their price and rising slightly. As soon as I sold my XJ-S Cabriolet, admittedly for very good money, they started climbing above that value. As my Wife keeps telling me, you can't keep 'em all,
Ian

If I went looking for an XKR like mine 99 on T 65k good service History 2 previous owners I wouldn't want to be paying more than £7.5k but then I have seen XJS's good ones at least rise over the last 12 months.

Wow. Nice bit of business! Impressive that XJR values are doing so well.
