What's with the BBC?

I don't want to start another Brexit thread, it's over and done with and we need to move on but it seems that the BBC won't let go. They've thrown out any pretence of neutrality that they might have had before the vote and seem determined to stir things up and push people into fighting the results. I understand that any journalist needs to look for a story in every situation but in my opinion, they're actually looking to exaggerate every negative story and are happy to drag out and give credence to the bitter and twisted losers to keep the arguments going . I think it's astonishing that 3 days after the nation made one of the most monumentous decisions for change in a generation, our national TV station has not produced one single positive comment, but seems determined to play up the negatives.

But this morning 3mins ago the top story is "George Osborne has said the UK is ready to face the future "from a position of strength" and indicated there will be no immediate emergency Budget."

Thats the first positive story I've seen yet.

I watched this morning and at around 6.30 there was a report from Sheffield where it was basically a bunch of labour supporters all saying "We're doomed".

I've seen nothing positive other than the odd studio guest - any pretense of neutrality does seem a bit ridiculous.

I'm surprised they aren't all wearing black ties.

Yes, I've just seen that,they had to show it, but talk about damming with faint praise!
They manage to put a positive spin on all sorts of irrelevant nonsense but can't find anything positive to say about such a massive decision by the British people.

Sky News have been no better than BBC (before or after) - but at least they don't need to pretend to be neutral. Also ends the myth that Murdoch was instrumental in Brexit. The Times and Sky News both fighting for Remain.

I see the mods have finally clamped down on any new Brexit themed threads. Maybe it's time they did something similar with BBC themed threads.

So, he admits that he was lying through his teeth when he said that he would have to introduce an emergency budget.

I'm really surprised that he hasn't gone yet.

There may well still be an Emergency Budget but he is waiting for forecasts from the OBR.

Which got me thinking....I thought he had already done all the forecasts for Brexit?

Generally I think the BBC is ok-ish - both lefties and righties complain about it, so it can't be too biased one way or the other generally. However one of the stories today is complete and utter bks.

"UK shares and pound continue to fall" as main page headline.

"Sterling was trading at $1.3460, down 1.8%, although this was above the low of $1.3228 hit on Friday."

So it didn't really continue to fall when you conside there was a rise, and it is still above the previous bottom. Same with the stock market.

Not to mention the subheading is "UK shares remain volititle in the wake of the Brexit vote, while the pound falls further against the dollar after Friday's record one-day loss."

No, it does not fall further than the record loss... It gains from the loss.

Of course it can. The evidence for left-wing bias arises from output and how the output is generated.

There is ovewhelming evidene from both. See content in PH BBC Bias threads previously.

I cannot recall the last time I watched BBC news , its last year at least. In fact, I cannot recall the last time I watched the BBC full stop , likely a documentary on 2 or 4.

Basically I find its output dreary and the news its self is leftward leaning, persistently and consistently . Sometimes painfully so. I rely on several news sites to get a balanced picture of things , both British and overseas. Sometimes fascinating to see stories and perspectives across the world.

"BREAKINGNEWS" Britian votes leave as the constant banner, vitriolic attacks on the democratic will of the people this REALLY needs looking into from the highest authority.
