I've taken a ride in one and they really are fantastic. If I had the money and needed the space I'd have one in a heartbeat. They do appear relatively scarce still which probably keeps values high.
Me too - I was lucky enough to get taxied about in one for 10 days (Working for a Porsche Dealer in Dubai)

fking Geesus Wept! What a machine smile (Sorry not sure what model, probably some fancy massive engined thing over there)

Anyone - rough prices? Genuinely curious how much these would have cost.

A 350 CDI would have been around £65k plus options when new. I would expect most to have been leased though, so actual purchase cost would have been closer to £50k than £65k. Still massive depreciation, as is the norm on any large exec.

I would expect the Panamera to drop in price shortly, if it is going to, as the new model is about to be launched and the new model is much better looking.

I must admit Porsche prices in general seem to remain very high.
I think it's all about "condition".

How does it compare to the Aston Martin Rapide?

Because it's a genuinely good car to drive with tons of practicality. Seriously considering one.

Rapides start at £60,000 but they were listed at £140,000 new in 2010 so a lot more money and a lot fewer sold.

In real terms you'll lose A LOT more money, in percentage terms a bit worse than the Porsche.

Those three cheap S classes will undoubtedly have had a 1 or a 2 knocked off the start of their mileages. Also its old model, whilst panamera is still current.

If you know that report it to the authorities.

But as you don't you won't.

Of course, you are right - it is entirely feasible to make a living chauffeuring doing 10k a year. Just look at the state of it in the pics.

Here's an oddity - this one was registered March 2010, but according to https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk the first MOT was done in Feb 2011 at 24505 miles.

Thats the point; PCO cars are MOTd at 12 months old, so this has blatantly been a taxi, yet has done small miles between the MOTs. Admittedly it has got nothing to do with Panamera values, but I am sure if there were as many panameras as S class, then the bottom of the barrel examples of those would be similarly goosed / cheap to buy.

And the MOTs are every six months apart... Hands up who believes it really did cover less than 170 miles between August 12 and April 13?

Test date 30 October 2015

I s'pose there is the possibility of a plate-change related cock-up, but...
