325i is nice and smooth but feels gutless in these E90" shape cars.
330i is a much better car decent performance and will return same economy as the 325.
335i is very different from the 330 giving loads of power from 2,500 revs and happily revs all the way to 7.000 rpm.
335i used is great value for £££ buy carefully and you have a superb car.
( I've owned most versions of these cars including 325,325d,330,330d and 335i).
They are all 155 mph cars, the difference is acceleration. How
much of that do you want, versus more trips to the petrol station
and some more expense ?

If anyone is telling you any of these cars are slow, then it is clear
they eat vindaloo for breakfast each morning and munch iron bars for fun ;=>

The 325 has the same 3.0 engine block as the 330, just detuned for more mpg &
reduced insurance group.

You'll have to try them to see what you think, but personally, I am finding
that the 325 is hopelessly overpowered for UK use and so I'll be dropping
back to something 4 cylinder and about two litres, like the 320.

A 125 mph cruise all day ability I don't have much need for in the UK.
A few more mpg is useful *every* day.

I drive lots of different Bmw"s every month and the E90 model 325 is a bit of a slug, must be due to the weight ( I've had 2 of them recently ). The E36 and E46 323i/325i feel a lot more lively.

I'd happily have a 325i, I know some might say it's "slow" but I do drive an e34 520i so slow is relative...

There are two different forms of 325i, in the E90 a 2.5 and 3.0. I believe the E93 only came with the later 3.0 unit but I could be wrong.

I owned one of the 3.0 325i convertibles and it's not a fast car, it's reasonable but is not fast. The E93 is a cruiser and if you don't want to thrash around then it's sufficient. MPG was around 30 average but it would achieve 40+ on the motorway with the roof up. Overall if performance isn't your be all and end all then the 325 will be fine but both the 330 and 325 will achieve the same MPG so I would look for both and go for whichever you find with the best spec etc.

BMW do a performance exhaust which makes the car sound fantastic, it fits a 325 or 330 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3z1KlQ6epo

I loved my car shame the dealers were utterly terrible.

OP, very subjective question.

If you use the car to mooch about to work and the shops, then it will be more than you ever need and more powerful than 95% of stuff you share the roads with.

If you set the alarm for 5am Sunday mornings to head off into Scotland for a hoon, you might think it a bit heavy and breathless at 10/10ths.

Really hard question to answer.

The 325 is coming in at a whole £9 more expensive to insure. How weird.

Maybe more popular / attainable with a demographic who crash them with more regularity.
