I'd go for a your phone, Waze for free and Tomtom Go for £15, a brodit mount for your car (about £50) and a decent 2 amp car power adaptor.

That way you've got decent Waze for places with good data, TT for offline mapping in case you're out in the sticks with no coverage, your phone at 100% battery all the time, live traffic, cameras etc. Also if you're running the audio through your car audio it plays over the top of your music, mutes for phone calls etc.

I have the tomtom go 50 which is a real nice satnav to use, connects to tomtom mydrive so i can plan routes online etc, no support for importing itn afaik but that can be done online.. currently £99.99 + western europe maps on amazon.
You get lifetime maps, traffic and 3 months of speed camera updates via mydrive

Used to be paid for, but now it's free and they charge for addons, like live traffic.

I'm not 100% sure how the current pricing works as I've had it from before the current model.
