What's the longest you have kept a car?

What is the longest you have kept a car? I don't mean a box of parts in the garage for the last 30 years. I mean a car in (almost) regular use.

Cant' claim regular use but my RS Megane 225 I bought new back in Jan 2006 and still have it in the garage.

I have my 2007 Focus ST for 4.5 years, thats the longest Ive had a car.

Three years, my first Clio 182. Shortest has been about two months, average probably around 18 months.

My Audi RS2 for 9.5 years, the 996 GT3 for seven and a bit years, my Caterham for more than thirteen years. I don't like selling 'em, y'see.

However, the Lotus Elan Sprint I've just acquired was owned for 44 years from new by the original purchaser.

My current two, 996 will be 7yrs this month, Clio is just over 6yrs.

No plans to change either

Bought my Caterham in August 1996 and still have it.

Bought a 3dr Sierra Cosworth in 1990, sold it in 2003. Put the money into a better house so no regrets about selling it.

Had the camaro 11 years now.

Owes me quite a bit, way in excess of the £4.50 it is probably worth "market value", so I'll probably be buried in it.

On average about 18 months for a daily for me until I start getting itchy feet. I am an expert at selling motor vehicles for a loss, substantial in most cases.

I still own my first car, a Fiat Panda 4x4, which I got from my dad, actually a little before I learned to drive, so have had it since about 1996/1997.

My dad's got an Austin and a Wolseley he's had for about 35 years each, and a Thwaite's dumper truck he's had since the early seventies (1972?).

Got an E30 325i I've had since 2001 and a different Panda 4x4 I've had since 2004.

Longest was the 350z which I had for 3 years. Everything else has lasted around 18 months. I like to change...

My old man has a 2002 Peugeot 206 GTi which has done around 20,000 miles that he's had from new.

Longest is my current WRX - I've had it for six years now and covered ~ 100k miles (It's up at a hundred and forty something thousand). It's getting a bit on the tatty side now if I'm honest but it's worth more to me then it would ever be to sell at this point so can't see me getting rid of it unless it dies.
