I did a double take on one of these in a car park yesterday.

I had to look it up to find out what it was but couldn't believe how gopping it was.
Er, what is it?
It's a Smart ForFour, which is a rebadged Renault Twingo.

IMO one of the few [fairly] modern Merc designs to have aged well. Like the E60, I found them a bit challenging when new but they seem to actually look quite classy now, more so if you get a decent set of wheels on there.

It has to be the Proton Savvy. And they still sell them. Prices start at £7995. Who would part with the best part of eight grand for this? I nearly ran into the back of one because I was too busy staring at it!

Yes it's a bit dated and anodyne, apart from the nice line in the door window, but it isn' t ugly, just bland. So cheap new it must be an A to B bargain at 2. years old for those who want image free or ironic motoring

The later ones were a big improvement.

Improvement like.. Having 'just' HIV instead of full blown AIDS?

You serious? The last one looks like something the Pink Panther rejected for looking too silly!

The F40 is ugly, but the Rover 75 is something that you could quite fancy?! Wow
Every contribution I've seen of his appears intended to be as inflammatory as possible. I only got a few lines into his initial post before checking the author and giving up... laugh
At least there's an element of discernment being applied, whether it's subjective or not - most of this thread is, "I don't like this car, therefore it is really ugly".

I like F40s, but at best it's a purposeful design.

Concept? That was the Visa's production look from 1978 until the 1982 facelift...

I'll leave this here as I puke in a bucket and despair at a vast and hideous 3600lb, 4WD "Cooper S" and all that once meant.
I mean, it was vile before... but f*** me...

Dear god. What a fvcking dogs dinner. It's one thing to come up with a fugly design from scratch, quite another to wreck a nice one!

Okay I know it's not a car but it's that special kind of aggressively ugly it's uglyfield extends into nearby categories. Like when you have have really stinky cheese in the fridge and other stuff goes funny. Ladies and gentlefolk, (I hope no kids are looking,) I give you the 2016 ducati Desmosedici GP, a bike so ugly even people who dont know st on bikes and think they all look the same go "wow thats one pig ugly bike"

I think the motoGP commentators should apologise every time it's onscreen.

What has become of the italians?

It was always (mostly) function follows form but not now. Hence a few podiums. But saying that stoner won on the gp7 and that was pretty. But he can ride anything.

It's those stupid wings, thank good they're banned next year.

Saw that today. An entry to beat all entries in this thread, undisputed. Lads and gents, I give you Toyota Alphard van in all its glory. Even the notorious Rodius has credentials of being designed like a yacht, but this, built by a well-respected manufacturer, cannot be forgotten, ever.

that thing is referred by Toyota as the most luxurious van ever built

Heading to the Heathrow 1,2,3 junction on the M4 on Saturday evening, I noticed a set of Bentley headlights oddly high up proceeding quickly in the middle lane in the way that says, "I am a bellend and am about to swing across to take the exit at the last moment, despite the traffic". On the approach road, I saw that it was a Bentayga, being driven by a man who had dialled up the RRS sense of entitlement from 11 to 21. He continued to drive like an arse on the approach to the terminal, changing lanes by cutting up other dirvers.

Just trying to minimise his time spent on view in it, I expect. They really are laughably awful-looking.
