Is 38 old, it depends who ask I suppose? I had a boring, but comfortable Mk3 Mondeo Ghia X diesel for my 40 mile commute to work, till earlier this year and swapped it for this:

It costs more to run, but you get to work with a smile on your face.

Never mind the old, what about raspberry ripples like myself?

I must be the only blue-badge holder with an FK2.

44 years old and if I didn't have a need for 4 doors I'd happily own (and modify) an ep3 type r.

As it is I'm in a leon cupra r like the red one above (mines black) and modded. My attitude to this is that i love cars, always have done and it's my money. I'll drive whatever I think I'll enjoy.

Age 56.
On my second Fiesta ST.
Supercharged Mustang GT in the garage
Honda MSX125 in the conservatory.

I was told the Fiesta was a bit "boy-racerish" but it's just a turbo hatch that does everything exceptionally well.

More and more you keep seeing people aged 60 + driving hot hatches at about 20mph whatever the speed limit may be!

Haha, just seen this thread...I'm 47 and have a Merc A45 AMG, with the aero kit and big calipers.
I like to use the launch control at the lights when a Chav mobile sits next to me wanting a race...as they speed off, all valve bounce and comedy exhaust, I just pootle away. Makes me howl every time smile

My younger, miserable (i.e. Dutch) neighbour told me I was way too old for it when it arrived on my drive...I've never passed comment on his semi derelict Disco and caravan....

I had a hot hatch when I was a teenager. I had a coupe for a while but then a succession of "boring saloons". A bloke who works for me is mid 50's and his car history since I've known him is CTR, Clio Sport, Corsa VXR and now a Fiesta ST. He gets some ribbing at work for being too old for that sort of thing.

I'm now 42 and going through that mid life crisis stage and want to regain my youth so I went out and bought an M135i. Now he ribs me but I just claim it's more of a mini GT than an hot hatch. According to my other half, no man past 30 should drive anything with spoilers, loud exhausts or big stickers. biggrin

Mum was 68 when she decided to sell her Civic Type R. She'd had it 10 years from new, which replaced her Rover 220 Gti. She doesnt like the Seat Ibiza 1400 that replaced it, as 'had no go' . But I think it was a wise decision, just because she street parks now in a Slough postcode !

34 yrs old, Mini JCW GP, no regrets. I've gone the opposite direction with things, last car was a mini coupe SD ( brilliant little car) , before that I had a e92 3 series, 2000 CLK (just bad), 98 XJ sport v8 (sheds tear) then a polo!

As much as I enjoyed rear wheel drive ( and I really did) there's something a bit more challenging/rewarding with a fwd pocket rocket that I've come to love. I wonder if I'll still have it at 40!
