I remember seeing a 240Z with an RB26 at Japfest a few years ago. That was really quite special. And very very fast.

I think a Tesla Citroen would be better, silently cruising along

C110 Skyline Coupe with 370z running gear, etc

Elan +2 with a modern engine a la Spyder, either a Duratec or ideally something like the Powertec V8

e46 M3 with the V10

urQuattro with the modern 5 pot from the TTRS

Aston Martin DB4 Zagato with the current v12 + gearbox

Mazda RX8 with a four rotor engiine (I think some lads in NZ had one running)

Either of these, with bodywork moulded using modern composites technology and fitted with a lightweight, all-alloy modern twin cam like the K-series or Ford Sigma, hooked up to a Caterham 6-speed box would do me very nicely:

I still like my Honda B18 front engined Mini..... Fast, works, and not the all out mentalness of the Z-Cars variants! Still feels like a road car inside.

But ultimately I want a Singer, just need to keep shaking the couch!

Any of the ICON "derelict" cars or the Ring Brothers muscle cars redux.

I'll spend some of my Euromillions win on getting one of these companies to do me a 70s Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser or Pontiac Safari Station Wagon with some kind of LS motor and fantastic handling etc. Right Hand Drive would be good, too!

Thinking about it if I could have it in the long wheelbase 'Sport' chassis/body that would do nicely please.

PS some modicum of Mr Blomqvist's would hopefully be magically included too!

That's a good idea - a DS with a Nissan Leaf drivetrain (preferably some more batteries for extra range of course, bit more room to stash them in!)

I'm always interested in "modernized classics" and liked the look of the MG Abingdon Edition which was previously featured on Pistoheads and appeared on Top Gear this Sunday.

Power: 304bhp
Power to weight: 339 bhp / tonne

I didn't realise it was a "2015 Mazda 2.5 litre 4 cylinder aluminium engine".

Got me thinking.

Eagle have done the E-type.
Singer have done the 911.

Which classic would you like modernize and which engine would you stick in it?
2.5 Duratec, a naturally aspirated version of the 2.3GTDI in the new Focus RS and Mustang.

Easy one for me. Porsche 968 with the 3.6 V6 from the Panamera/Cayenne (300 Bhp/295 lb/ft) then lots of time on the exhaust and inlet to make sure it sound as good as possible. Fixes the first problem with the 944/968 series (sound track) then improves on the second issue (not enough power).
