I'm less inclined to care or offer any sympathy to the driver seeing as he filmed the police chatting to him the whole way through.

Tosser.
Why? That is the way society has gone. It's perfectly legal to film police. It's no different to Driving around with a Dash Cam. It's important that people continue to film the Police and bring these blatant, illegal, miss uses of power to light.
It was a clearly blatant alright.
But, it wasn't the police that fit that description.

Just to reiterate, there is no reason to suppose that this car has a modified exhaust.
Never said it did......but do you have an answer to the question

I certainly sounds very similar to my car in sport mode and the Stradale is even louder than the S as standard.

This was my car in sport mode with a standard exhaust, note that the car is doing the down shift throttle blips, not me.

Are you for real?

The police whacked the sirens on to alert people and move the traffic totally justified.
Its hardly a fking emergency. Send him a fine through the post if they must.
I find it quite amusing that people are getting there knickers in a twist over this.

The guy in the video wouldn't give a st over the fine it's pocket change, the maserati is just this summers toy for him.

If he really felt so hard done by he's able to not pay the fine and have his day in court , pretty sure he could afford a decent lawyer.

Some absolutely bizzare responses on this thread from supposed car enthusiasts. It just goes to show how far and deep the brainwashing and dumbing down of people in this country is going.

Perhaps they'll be happy when the police are Judge, Jury and executioner and we are all forced to drive White Diesel VAG's in a blanket 20mph zone. Mark my words that is the way we are going.

No idea if this person has prior to behaving like an idiot on a car or not, that is totally irrelevant to this incident.
How the pull for noise can be justified is incredible and is not justified in my eyes at all.
Comes across as they have a nice car, lets pull them over.
A standard R8 V10 is just as loud as that on start up and pulling away

Yeah, since he has a nice car he should be able to do what he wants. Things like peace and quiet or quality of life should come secondary. Although obviously if it was a chav in a Corsa he should be banned, that's just antisocial

I think I must have been watching a different clip. The one I viewed was in the 'oh so peaceful' setting of central London with a car auto blipping at low speed? Nice mix of jealousy and bitterness as well, rarely used as effectively.

But it's not just about that clip, nor the laughable notion that disliking something you can't afford makes you jealous. several people have already stated the driver has previous form, and badly driven performance cars are a big problem in certain areas of London

As I've said before, I've personally seen the owner/driver of 'V12 1RAK' driving like an absolute tool in the RBK&C on multiple occasions. Sometimes more than once in the same afternoon.

I'm a car enthusiast through and through, and I'd say we'd all be better off if this guy - and other people like him - got a lengthy ban for the stuff they get up to. I support the scheme he was stopped under and hope they make many more such stops. More power to them.

That's all I am basing it on. I haven't seen the guy myself. How long before everyone gets pulled, because that's what's going to happen when the notices are so easy and lucrative for the authorities. A case of be careful what you wish for IMO.

I am sure what you are saying is true but I am not convinced that people should be penalised by the law for doing nothing wrong based upon their previous bad behaviour.
Be careful what you wish for.

They'll all get pulled because of idiots taking the piss and giving all car enthusiasts a bad name. A quick google will bring up plenty of examples, and if it was Fiestas not Ferraris revving their tits off we'd all want them stopped. You can't excuse antisocial behaviour just because someone has a nice car.

not a clue about why there is this sort of problem in those locations are you ?

Google SuperCars/London or such and you may understand why this happened.

Completely irrelevant. The Fine the man was given was issued on the basis of what happened in the video. At no point did his previous behaviour get brought up.

Bouncing off the limiter/being a total tt - fair game. Driving along under the speed limit normally - not fair game. It's an abuse of Police power, makes them look very silly and does absolutely nothing for public relations.

I am not sure that anybody is trying to, what we are pointing out is that, at the time he was stopped by the police in the video clip, he was doing nothing wrong.
If he is the antisocial tt that people are saying, I would be quite happy for them to throw the book at him when he actually does do something wrong.

Everyone is aware of the problem. This particular video in isolation doesn't show anything that bad.
