this seems a pretty good deal for a SEAT Leon Cupra 290.

£1520 down and £169 a month on 8k pa inc VAT

That's a good deal, have you progressed with this? Do you know what the excess mileage fee is, I assume its the same 7.2ppm

I'm a bit gutted that the Cupra deals weren't around in Jan when I plumped for the 1.4 Audi A4 deal. Only £30 per month more (initial payment the same) yet pretty much double the BHP and dynamic driving experience. The pitfalls of leasing eh?!

Should VW garages be able to match the lease deals on the new Tiguan SE Nav that are doing the rounds? I have some equity in a PCP and would prefer main dealer to trade in and use the equity as the upfront payment.

Just a simple post that lots of folks seem to be using this a thread to ask other people to find deals for them, there hasn't been many deals posted in the last few pages.
Read the two parts of your sentence again.....and then work out the link between them.
Not many deals being posted could be (perhaps) a reason for a post requesting any info.

Ditto! I really want rid of my A4. It's so bland and boring frown

Conversely, the reason the deal posts are so sparse in the postings could be down to the amount of requests being posted in between biggrin

It is a great deal. It's not my kind of car at all though. I only got it because it was cheap. Was all set for a MK7 Golf GTI i had on order but had to cancel due to a sudden change in circumstances. Serious sad face.

Nowhere near it, I ran a poll on VWROC and it was about 27% leased, 41% PCP, 25% bought outright and the rest was financed in another way (loan, mortgage, etc). There were 122 votes, so a decent sample size. There was also a previous poll (it turns out) with similar results and an even bigger sample size.

Someone asked who would pay £30k+ for a new Golf R when you can get them for £26k. The answer is "most people". By definition of being on this site you [we] are probably more enthusiastic about and clued up on cars than the general population (who's numbers greatly exceed ours). That general population make many ill judged purchasing decisions, especially when it comes to cars. I know people in car sales and believe me, there will be plenty of punters that wander into VW on a Sunday for a "look" because they "fancy a change" only to wander out with a Golf R on PCP with a £500 deposit contribution to make them feel good (but otherwise paying virtually list). Also, they probably traded thier 3 year old Astra for £750 less than it was actually worth so it's a net win for the dealer.

Yep it's the sodding cheap bit that's keeping me just on the right side of sanity.

I'm guessing that's with a big down payment or over 3 or 4 years. The best deal I could find for 2 years worked at an average 143/month on personal lease.
£1500 down, 2 year deal. Fleetsauce.

Decent Golf R estate deal at CVL;

https://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/...

Not as cheap as the deals a few months ago iirc but £303 amortised is better than anything I can see on CH&L even taking in to account the lower 5k mileage for this deal

If those are all plus VAT figures then the 3+23 at 132 works out much cheaper over 2 years from fleetsprices

Ooh that's a corker. Cheaper than the Tiguan R-Line I wanted!

Is it nomal for brokers to request original copies of driving license and passport when taking a lease deal out? Target Car Leasing are asking for this, seems rather OTT?

If someone rang your business up and asked for 20k worth (guess) of product to be left in their posession for a couple of years, would you not want
a) proof of who they were and
b) proof they could operate the thing you were lending them?

We sometimes need someones passport, and a few times I've had to ask for a driving license. If you're not comfortable sending it to them, ask where they or the supplying dealer are and take it in person to them

With the cruise on at 65mph (in no rush to go to work!) I get around 42mpg. Was expecting a tad more in all honesty! Only 350miles on the clock though, can I expect it to losen up?

Thanks
