Still boggles the mind how many of you go for 5 mike deals. This is pistonheads. Do you not drive?

I do 15k just driving the family around on day trips and visiting relatives. What's the point of getting a performance car like in the m140i or Golf R when you barely drive it? Ditto to other models.
Paying the excess is cheap, that's why

See your relatives less often, or move nearer them. Try day trips near home!

Or get another car for the dull duties.

Or pay the excess mileage which can be cheap.

Sometimes it's about how you drive it rather than how much. wink

We've got a Golf R on lease and it's on course to do 10k over 2 years - but all those miles have been done on long-ish commutes rather than dilly-dallying family around. We have a weekday car and a weekend car - hence the (relatively) low miles.

Scottish Highlands, Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia - the Golf's done it all. Probably several hundred launch controls too. It's been immense fun and I feel sorry for the bugger who's having our car in the future.

Quality over quantity my friend.

Sounds very good to me... where is this from? Best quotes I had for this car was about £245 per month with a £2k deposit.

I've been to HUKD website, they've got some interesting cars (mostly low end Audis and Mercedes benz) for lease costing between £4k-£6k, including initial payment and monthly rental, over 2 years.

I was wondering if anyone knows how often those deals prop up on the internet and whether those deals are good value?

That seems almost too cheap. It's about the same (just under £300 mth average) as the best offers we were getting on the old model 150PS Match 4Motion DSG towards the end of its life. And the new R-Line is quite a bit dearer.

Really, I'm getting £339.94 for the auto on a 6+23 10k from Select's site. Did you call them to get a quote?

Yes I called them. The quote I got though was for business lease.

Yes. Best I currently have is £215 inc vat / £2000 initial / 5kPA which VW dealer refused to match, so yours is great

Which VW dealer is that from?

Is that from Central, and have you had a quote? It it's real it's bonkers - it's half the price they've got the non-4Motion version up for.

That's a decent deal on the Tiguan. Which dealer offered that? Do you have it in writing?

I always think minicab drivers doing 50k miles per year must be more PH than anyone wink

Always worth going for fewer miles than you'll actually do if the excess mileage payment is small; I went for an 8k miles deal expecting to do about 12k, but if I'd paid for 12k and only done 10k I'd have paid for miles I wouldn't have done.

Don't ask how much a Golf R or M140i is on 25k miles/yr

Dirt cheap lease for parking at stations and airports plus the odd trip down the shops, to friends, to see people on business. 5K per year but 3p a mile should I go over the limit, which it's looking like I won't.

Mine for getting in and driving when the mood takes me, which has been 8000 miles in 5 months. Not a lease.

That's how we do it biggrin

Polo looks nice!

Really want to get my other half out of her car in to a Polo or A Class from work. Her car keeps soldiering on and being remarkably good at not chucking bills at us. I think it knows I'm looking for an excuse to get shot of it biggrin

Some of the prices that appear here look so tempting....then I go to the website and ask for 30k miles a year and everything changes frown
