S3 deals seem to have dried up - its a nightmare not knowing when to commit to a deal with the constant changing prices.
Was offered 5 door 2016 (310bhp) S3 auto on a 3x23 10k miles with maintenance for £326 inc vat 2 weeks ago and can't get anywhere near that now
Try Tom Johnstone @ All Car Leasing. He was chasing up with me today to see if I wanted to go for the S3 deal, so sounds like they may have some left. I think was a little cheaper than this too.Was offered 5 door 2016 (310bhp) S3 auto on a 3x23 10k miles with maintenance for £326 inc vat 2 weeks ago and can't get anywhere near that now

will be due to the face lift model, getting shot of old stock, not sure if they will just revise the S3 straight away or if there will be a gapWas offered 5 door 2016 (310bhp) S3 auto on a 3x23 10k miles with maintenance for £326 inc vat 2 weeks ago and can't get anywhere near that now
the RS3 finished some time ago and its going to be mid to late next year before the 4 door goes into production

Are you seriously insinuating a 2 year old Golf R would be worth 16k? Are you talking trade value or actual retail value? 2 year old R's are still 22kish for a decent model at the moment, cant see there ever being a time when you can get a Golf R still in manufacturers warranty for 16k.
How can they be £22K when new ones are available for £26K?And value if you're selling is sell/trade/px (or, worst case, WBAC) not how much you'd have to pay to buy one from a retail forecourt.

I don't think that's too far off.I expect manual 2015 Golf Rs with around 20k miles to be listed on Auto Trader for about £18k in 8-9 months time. Those who bought their car outright and selling around that time will be in for a surprise...

A quick glance seems to confirm what you are saying. So actually it seems to
a) Be cheaper to lease i.e. the cost over the 3 years is less than the depreciation and
b) You don't have to have £25k sitting in a car.
Begs the question as to why anyone buys new.
Quite, but for me at least there's a bit more to it than that a) Be cheaper to lease i.e. the cost over the 3 years is less than the depreciation and
b) You don't have to have £25k sitting in a car.

I'm in the market for a fast 3 series Estate and the choice is either the bigger petrol or diesel models
A 335d will cost me 9k total over 2y and will free the equity in my current car, I have no other costs other than fuel as in 16k miles I'd hope to avoid tyres and a service, although an oil change won't kill me
PCP deals on the 335d over 4y will cost me 20k in total plus VED, inevitably tyres and servicing. In year 4 I'd prob also buy an extended warranty
The minor issue is that any options are just added to the lease cost so I'd be mad to add the 3k worth I'd like to put on the car if it was going to be a keeper
So horses for courses

These deals are for the facelift model. They stopped taking pre-facelift orders in April. My S3 facelift was ordered end of May and is due for delivery in October. The first ones have already started to be delivered to customers, some images of different colours below for anyone interested in going for one. £320 per month on a 3+23 is around about the most competitive price you will get on these.the RS3 finished some time ago and its going to be mid to late next year before the 4 door goes into production

Looks nice in that sort of sun baked dog jobby browny grey colour.Any good current deals currently floating about for a good lease on an SUV (sorry... 4x4), or where to look for one? Not for me before anyone notices my location - leases are cheap as chips here! - asking for someone in the UK.
X-trail, Cherokee, range rover - not too bothered exactly what, but that sort of size, and the only essential is that it is an automatic.

As you know, I also had one of those orders, but cancelled. Picked up my A6 (not leased) on Saturday.
My wife has a c220 Amg. The A6 is noticeably bigger than the c inside and out and in BE spec equipment is probably slightly better. Phone and nav tech are a bit "last generation" but they work fine. To drive the C is more chuckable, the A6 better for cruising. I'm very impressed by the refinement of the A6 engine - very quiet, economical and goes fine when you want to and I'm really pleased with it. New E looks great and will have new tech and be different, until more hit the roads. No experience of driving it sorry.
Hope that helps!
Back to lease deals......
Claris were extremely helpful throughout the process and they managed to find a cancellation order ready for early September delivery. Apparently Chris was told by the dealers that my car won't be delivered until March!
Ps: I have decided to stick to the A6

Nobody sells privately then? I beg to differ. Value is whatever you can sell it for. And value if you're selling is sell/trade/px (or, worst case, WBAC) not how much you'd have to pay to buy one from a retail forecourt.
Go and have a look, that's what they are generally up for sale for (at least). Maybe in ANOTHER 12/24 months prices may plunge but I'm talking about right now.

Yeah but then that would be a 3 year old car with another 6k miles on top of what the OP was talking about.. I agree in another years time+ they will drop quite a bit. I thought he was referring to current value. There are no Golf R's advertised for anywhere near that price at that age/mileage. WBAC is normally a good yard stick and a quick look shows 19k for a 14 reg with 15k miles. So if trade = 19k retail/private =~21k
Obviously this will be different in 12 months+

Daytona grey is probably the most popular Audi colour choice after Sepang Blue (and incidentally the colour I have chosen). There isn't a brown tinge to it compared to the likes of VW Limestone Grey or Ford Magnetic Grey.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
