Google is your friend...

Seriously, this thread has turned into a bit f a request service recently! It's meant to be for sharing good deals that others may be interested in.

In that light, this may interest people who want a repmobile that is different to the standard German lot.

you sir can go and F*** yourself. I asked if anyone knew any rumours, there are trade people on here that know things that are not on Google. Have a look at my history I have posted many helpful opinions in many threads across all of PH and as for your observation of recent requests, how would you know in your 17 month of being on here.

I don't think that's too far off.

I expect manual 2014 Golf Rs with around 20k miles to be listed on Auto Trader for about £18k in 8-9 months time. Those who bought their car outright and selling around that time will be in for a surprise...
So that'll be a three year old car at 15-20% higher a price than he suggested. That's quite a big difference!

Enquiring about the Fiesta ST-Line Ecoboost Red Edition @ £99 p/m, looks like a cracking little car.
I'm guessing that's with a big down payment or over 3 or 4 years. The best deal I could find for 2 years worked at an average 143/month on personal lease.

Wow I think someone needs a chill pill!!

Just a simple post that lots of folks seem to be using this a thread to ask other people to find deals for them, there hasn't been many deals posted in the last few pages.

I have indeed only been on here for 17 months but in that time I have learnt that deals come and go with almost no warning so as to not impact current "deals".

Apologies, I meant 15 plate Golfs rather than 14 plates - have edited post.

Prices have been heading slowly south and when the first 'main' batch of leases go back in Oct and then the second batch go back in Feb/Mar next year, I expect the residuals to decline fairly heavily.

So, around March 17, I predict a 15 plate standard Golf R with 20k miles to be around £18k on the forecourt, with trade-in prices being around £16k at best. Glad I leased mine now. smile

Nobody sells privately then? I beg to differ. Value is whatever you can sell it for.

Go and have a look, that's what they are generally up for sale for (at least). Maybe in ANOTHER 12/24 months prices may plunge but I'm talking about right now.

To add to the discussion of golf R residuals.... my golf R is 2 months shy of 2 yrs old with 18k mileage.
We buy any car offering 19k as of today. Part Ex i would say 19.5k, private 21k, forecourt 22-23k

The funny thing is, they won't offer you a price like that. VWFS will offer you a price of (for example) £21k and you'll decline. A few weeks later it'll be sale on the forecourt with a price £19k!

Someone on the VW R Forum handed their 2 year Golf R lease back recently. He enquired about a potential purchase, gave them a purchase price of £24,750. A month later, the same car was on sale for £23k on the forecourt.

Is anyone aware of any cheap deals on a BMW 1 Series? Requirements are:

Looking for a cheap upfront with payments <£250 if possible.

There you go.

It's worth noting that I do not think it is a good time to be getting one of these, I was looking at a 120D M sport a little while back and they were available for cheaper than this.

The cars will be returned to the network who sell them through dealer only auctions.
It is in VW's best interest to keep prices artificially high so as not to affect lower model pricing.
Approx 40 Golf R's on the VW used site just now...between 1 and 2 yr old. Average forecourt price 23k

Scarily, looking at the nearly new Golf R's , they are approx 100 or so sitting for sale at 30k+ OUCH, must be some gulible customers out there!!!
