To the chap that was asking about buying his lease car, in theory you're not allowed to (although this mainly applies to businesses due to tax reasons). I'm assuming PCH are the broker? Speak to the lease company directly and they'll more than likely give you a price to buy it

I was thinking about pulling the trigger on those amazing C63 deals from 3 years ago - have I missed out?

If I hand the car back with all four alloy wheels kerbed, supermarket trolley dents down both sides and the interior stinking of dog and all covered in its hairs, should I feel affronted that the leasing company tries to charge me to have this put right biglaugh

On a serious note - who has a Golf R with NVS?

What's their 'Loyalty scheme...' thing mentioned on the website?

Got a 208 on a 18 month lease last year in August, went for 10K mileage and ended up getting a 12 month contract in the hospital just up the road from me so the cars only done 3000 miles. Heard different things and didn't ask here first(schoolboy error) but spoke with PCH about what happens for sure at the end of the lease as I fancied buying the thing as it's still mint and been properly looked after.

The really nice PCH woman rolleyes said it goes to a private auction and that's it. No other options. Fair enough, I'd had enough of her so said bye.

Does anyone know how to get access to these private auctions as I really fancy buying the thing? Looks like circa 7K depreciation so far on a 20K list if folk pay that much. 18 month lease cost 3300ish.

Something like this maybe or if you ask an independent Peugeot specialist to buy on your behalf?
Thanks, I'll look into it.

If there's some sort of Peugeot thing going on where they buy them cheap to sell on that's fine, I don't mind paying extra but although this is 'my' first ever new car I get the feeling this is a good one plus I know the history. Might try and phone PCH again and get someone who is not on the rag, that woman was a nightmare.

S3's look more than tempting at the moment - little more than the R i have but heated leather and nav as standard make it look a much better deal smile

been offered a 3x23 10k with maintenance and tyre cover, 5 door DSG with metallic paint for £340 inc vat.

What's happening with the 5 series at the moment? I'm aware it's being phased out, and I wouldn't mind picking one up on a decent lease deal towards the end of the year. Is production stopping in August?

Seems like quite a few geezers with the hump here.

Is there a parallel thread running for lease related questions? Saves having multiple ones running.

Might be an idea to be for the link to it to be on the first post of every new best lease thread.

I realise that this post contains no lease deal so if you're unhappy about it go and shout at your fridge.

Just for ref:- PH system can't handle threads with 10K post very well so we shut them down and start a new volume.

If you have a problem with that Sorry, but Tuff!

Now as you were, and on topic please. smile
