100% - go for the 10K deal. By "pre paying" for 50k you're stuffed if you do less. Anything could happen, change of job (planned or not), sickness, family things, all sorts and you may not do that 50K in two years. It doesn't take much time off to kill that planned mileage.

Especially as you've work out the pay-as-you-go-rate to be the same.
+1 Very good advice.

Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0TDI Saloon Manual
2 years
Initial: £2250 inc VAT
Monthly: 23 x £280 inc VAT
Mileage: 25k per annum
Any colour

Been quoted this by Simpsons Skoda. While the monthlies may seem a bit high to you 5k and 8k milers, this is typically the sort of money you are looking at when doing this sort of mileage. I have checked the 10k miles per annum offer and paying 30k worth of excess mileage at the end of the term, @7.2p per mile it works out the same.

Are there any better deals out there for something comparable to this?(Insignia is not comparable in my opinion). Would I be better going for a lower mileage and calling them 6 months in to let them know I am going to be doing more mileage than I thought to see if I can get a deal on the excess mileage like some have mentioned doing on here?
I would still be tempted to take the 10k deal in your case. It just gives yourself a little bit of extra protection in case your circumstances change meaning you end up doing less mileage, as in that case you obviously wouldn't get any kind of refund if you paid for 50k but only did 20k. Also a lot of people are finding that if you increase the mileage allowance midway through the contract VWFS will do it half price, i.e. 3p + VAT per mile.
Can also confirm that VW Finance have offered to increase the mileage allowance on my leased Skoda at the all in rate of 3.6 p. Just filled in a request form online at the Skoda Finance website and received the emailed paperwork about a week later

Who also had the A6 Allroad deal I was kicking myself for missing which a few weeks later has mysteriously been replaced with one with much higher fees

Are they leasing or PCP'ing?

I'd imagine discounts and "cashback" on retail (PCP/HP/Cash) sales would be few and far between just now

Not sure i would agree on this one.
Discounts of upto 3k are available from the usual brokers for factory order cars.

The tiguans that myself and miqt82 were quoted for, were for tiguans sitting at the port. Limited colours and base spec. They would be available to the whole VW network.

A smaller commisson level for a dealer is better then no commission, hence the cash back proposal to secure the deal.

In terms of the price you have, it may be the cheapest price going for the M240i but it is comparatively expensive compared to the M235i deals which were £325 on a 6+23.

Personally I think you would be mad to spend £11,368 + fees over 2 years for a 35k car when you compare it to the hot hatch prices VAG are doing.

Agree. Cheapest I've seen so far but still quite expensive.

I guess that's the difference - the Tiguan forum boys put immense (insane, in my opinion) spec on their cars so they're factory order. One of them is getting cross as he's "ordered" an engine/transmission/drive-train combination that VW haven't even released yet and VW UK keep fobbing him off.

So do you think it's worth it then to go for the white with that link you sent?
Or should I wait a few weeks?
Ideally we want the sel over the se nav.
But the SE nav in White is going for 222£ on a 6x24 with 3300 initial payment but with 900 cash back.

Have a look at carwow video review of the tiguan. They do pretty good video reviews that give a decent overall impression of a car. They seem to suggest the SE NAV is pretty much all you need in terms of spec.

I think if you dont need automatic, then you can get a better deal on the tiguan.

The SEAT Ateca is based on same floor plan as the tiguan...that is getting very favourable writeups.
Not seen any deals on them yet as none in showrooms,

The term would be x+23; Your first monthly payment is part of the deposit.

Your deposit figure seems wrong anyway....if it was 6+23 then deposit should be £1,332

Deal he gave me was £222 pm, plus £2400 deposit.(which i think is same as urs above). Same deal as what CVL broker is offering without the admin fee and throwing in the pure white paint. Remember this car includes DSG gearbox and 4 wheel drive.

If you need the car now then its a good deal....if you can wait for factory order (16 weeks min, maybe longer based on recent feedback) then potentially another deal may come along that is slightly better? but no guarantees. Rare to see decent deals on 4x4's

Looking around for alternatives for my delayed (but not yet cancelled) A6 Avant BE Ultra and stumbled across this stock deal at Nationwide. No idea what the 2.0t petrol auto is like but looks a nice enough place to do my 30k pa.

Excess is 7.2ppm so assume its with VWFS and I could renegotiate my extra 44k at 3.6ppm smile Quote request is in and I'll call first thing Monday.

A4 Avant 2.0t FSI - IN STOCK
3+23
£221.94 + £180 fees
8K 7.2ppm excess
Total £5770.44
Amort Mthly £240.40

19% List or 22% Discounted
