Ridiculously cheap even with the low mileage.

Similar price to EWFS but they don't have any fees. They also do a 1+23 deal

You have wrongly assumed that VAT is +20% for personal. The 6 series deals are strictly business only you can't just add 20% for a personal price.

It does state +VAT on the website however it only has a price for business.

Never been a problem for me with G2L in the past with these deals (existing customer) - they just add the VAT onto the invoice.

That's a £66k for under £11k over 2 years.

  1. nobrainer

This 640d deal has been around for 3 months take my word for it, it is business only and if I recall correctly is through BMW Alphabet. Multiple people in this thread have enquiried, the personal price goes to £500+ per month.

Yes, the above is true. It's not a simple case of adding VAT to the 640d deal.

If you look at the link posted earlier for the business deal, there's a tab that says 'alternative deals'. Click on that and you'll see the true PCH prices.

Looking around for alternatives for my delayed (but not yet cancelled) A6 Avant BE Ultra and stumbled across this stock deal at Nationwide. No idea what the 2.0t petrol auto is like but looks a nice enough place to do my 30k pa.

Excess is 7.2ppm so assume its with VWFS and I could renegotiate my extra 44k at 3.6ppm smile Quote request is in and I'll call first thing Monday.

A4 Avant 2.0t FSI - IN STOCK
3+23
£221.94 + £180 fees
8K 7.2ppm excess
Total £5770.44
Amort Mthly £240.40

19% List or 22% Discounted

In the same situation here and that does look a decent deal. Shame it's an SE and cloth upholstery, but wil certainly be considering it. Thanks for posting.

I didn't know they did a 2.0t petrol in the current lineup and I've got fond memories of the old 1.8t petrol in a couple of old pool cars so I'm interested enough to take a punt. Says it's in stock so no waiting, 7.5 to 60, half decent mpg, petrol, no adblue, VWFS mileage excess...

If it had adaptive cruise and city braking it would already be on the drive, but then it would be a Passat not an A4. The cheapest Passat estate I've found that fits the bill is at JCB Medway and it's £50 pcm more for a factory order. The A6 delay is pushing me into a stock vehicle as I needed the car delivered by September

So do you think it's worth it then to go for the white with that link you sent?
Or should I wait a few weeks?
Ideally we want the sel over the se nav.
But the SE nav in White is going for 222£ on a 6x24 with 3300 initial payment but with 900 cash back.
The term would be x+23; Your first monthly payment is part of the deposit.

Your deposit figure seems wrong anyway....if it was 6+23 then deposit should be £1,332

Deal he gave me was £222 pm, plus £2400 deposit.(which i think is same as urs above). Same deal as what CVL broker is offering without the admin fee and throwing in the pure white paint. Remember this car includes DSG gearbox and 4 wheel drive.

If you need the car now then its a good deal....if you can wait for factory order (16 weeks min, maybe longer based on recent feedback) then potentially another deal may come along that is slightly better? but no guarantees. Rare to see decent deals on 4x4's

I was supposed to have August delivery on my Blk Edition saloon....!!

SE spec misses out on sat nav and the 17" wheels aren't the most attractive...but it's a good price. I guess if they really are stock cars then there may be some with options for a bit extra...

I was promised August on the A6 Avant but it's looking like October maybe November delivery is realistic. That's no good for me. Looking at alternatives the only other thing ticking my boxes at this price level is a stock deal on a Golf Match Edition DSG 2.0tdi which works about the same money as the A4.

Loaded Golf diesel DSG or Base A4 Avant petrol stronic...

Golf 2.0tdi Match Edition DSG

£173.32
£200 fees
VW Main Dealer so VWFS 7.2ppm?

Hi,
My sister has got the exact same deal (same car/same price) from the same dealership back in May. They were able to source a car straight away and the car came within 2 weeks. The excess mileage is 7.2p. Just be aware that the car gets delivered by a driver and not offloaded by a truck so there was around a hundred miles on it when it arrived but the dealership said that it'll be deducted when the car gets handed back.

We went for urano grey (a bit sceptical at first but actually quite fond of it now). You get 3 driving modes (eco/normal/sport). It's comfortable in any and performance is quite decent too.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

Was trying to tempt the OH in to one of these.
A steal at the performance level and a very good write up in the press.

Regarding the A4 deals above, I have a 2 litre TDi 190PS Avant S-line for £270inc vat a month, maintained, 8k miles pa (including £1500 or so of options). A fair chunk more, but if you're doing such stellar miles, it's showing 51mpg on a 70mph run round the M25 - might well off set a lot of the cost and I have half leather, nav and 18s for my trouble. Deal was through G2L (who I also recommend btw).

Adding a little bit of closure to my leasing experience, our Nismo Juke RS went back on Friday after 18 months.

Here's the details of the lease:

Allowed Mileage - 10000/year (15k over contract length)
Initial - 1146.88
Monthly - 191.14
Total Over 18 months - 4587.40

Harmonised Monthly - 254.85

In reality our actual mileage ended up at 25000 (10k over) so the figures actually looked like this:

Initial - 1146.88
Monthly - 191.14
Additional Mileage @ 0.08p - 800
Total over 18 months - 5387.40

Harmonised Monthly - 299.30 (235.58 if you remove the initial payment)

During our ownership we had the following expenses (roughly)

1 x set of tyres - 500
2 x services - 300, probably worth adding we nearly got away with the last service at 25000 miles but the car went back with 25120ish, lease charge was 210 for a missed service versus 120 for a private service.
1 x Bumper clip - 3.00
1 x parcel shelf clip - 12.50! These missing clips were not due to damage or accidents, the bumper one dropped off at some point and the parcel shelf is a known weak point (according to Nissan forums anyway).

The handover process was very easy. Giving the car a pre-inspection wash/once over I noticed a few stone chips and kerbing I thought might have been picked up on. Fortunately this wasn't the case and I was handed a 'no damage' report, despite kerbing on the rear passenger alloy I assessed as outside of fair wear and tear.

The other point of note is that I measured the front passenger tyre at 2mm tread remaining, this was also an area of concern as I had read about lease companies invoking uneven wear charges etc. in the event of low tread (but legal) on returned cars. Full credit to the assessor he seemed to have a practical approach and was not intent on picking up contentious points!

The pick up agent informed me that the car was going to be used for a few days to ferry other inspectors around the region meaning there was no further inspection and this was the effective point of handover. Happy days.

Would I lease again? - Probably not. The mileage thing I found to be a constant nag when considering using the car for long journeys, couple this with the risk of exposure to damage charges I personally would find it better to finance or purchase in the future. That said, leasing does offer some very good initial deals and providing you are honest in your mileage requirements it could work out ok.

Any questions feel free to ask :-)
