Heresy to some I suspect but I see a Beetle wearing a tea-tray bustle wink

I haven't driven any old 911 that didn't make me want one. Be it an early 2.0 swb to a 930 Turbo to a 993RS and everything else inbetween.

Apart from the airbagged 'wheel. Obvs.
would be heartbreaking handing over that amount of money to anyone who cannot spell 'exemplary' hehe

Plenty that needs putting right with that: exhaust, filler cap, pedals, 'plate, spoiler ... And the fact that it's POA. hehe

That CLS1 belongs to a PH-er, who also owned an E34 M5 at one stage too IIRC. I parked beside it at a show a number of years ago

I love e36 M3s as much as the next man but I appear to be looking at a tarted up one that's lightly ram raided Halfords. What am I missing?

Reminds me of the M4 GTS I encountered at Thruxton last week. Seats apart, not one thing about it was better than an E46.

Oh yes and the M4 dies at 6k rpm. Most un M like and I pass for that reason

The current specification of the car is as follows (in order of date fitted to car):

Full bespoke Infinity Exhaust System
K&N Induction Kit
...
Full Carbon Fibre M3 GT Rear Spoiler (90% colour coded)
A bit of mix'n'match going on. Fine if it's your thing, but the advert just screams "messed with" to me. I like the arches though. biggrin

That's him

I recall a lot of 'Ring talk when the CLSII was produced in the 90s, and I think a quick lap-time might have been a part of the car's original remit. Something approaching 8mins if memory serves correct?

yes

I used to have a bit of a schoolboy Schnitzer fetish due to the old man having a string of them in my immediately pre-licence years (E34 525, couple of full house E36 M3s and an S3 3.0, which was epic). The CLS was / is bonkers.

Great find all the same - makes most pork look common (at least in terms of numbers). Remember the CLS II in green with yellow trim?:

Batst!

First Gen was nice too:

Loved the (then) bananas interior on both:

And agreed on the Pork - lovely cars but at these prices I think I'd balk even if I was a millionaire. As a value proposition (i.e. as something to enjoy in every way, but specifically driving it with due enthusiasm as frequently as possible) it just doesn't add up for me, but I guess there are more than enough folks with the folding to sustain the market for now.

The Schnitzer stuff is nearly as bad as Alpina bits.

Strange that it wears a pre-facelift steering wheel but the wings use the facelift repeaters.

Do these carbon kevlar bits just add width or also save weight?

Ref GT3 lose all the red bits and it's not a bad price relatively speaking I would think.

Loon ref 917 tool room copy, does that include the engine or did they try and source a flat 12 from somewhere ? IIrc after Mark Hales alleged blow up of a 917 engine unsurprisingly they are not cheap to repair, talk of him having to remortgage his house to pay for it, not sure whatever happened with that in the end.
