So after many difficulties with the Boxster living on the street and it been damaged 4 times in 4 months i've decided to change it for something a bit more discreet.

Current thoughts:

Mountune short shift kit £165 fitted, well worth it seemingly.

Opinions?
The same price would get you into a 3 year old mk7 Golf GTI. I didn't drive the focus though as our last Ford was stolen a few weeks ago and the police specifically advised me that Fords are being targeted (easy to steal apparently now that thieves have software to get round the car security) in our neck of the wood.
Thing is, i can buy a 15-plate ST facelift for about £16k with Nav trade and the Golf doesn't blow my frock up as much as a fast Ford does.

Wow. Very impressive Olly. I Wish I could make and fix stuff like that.

My Mother has a new one of these and I have driven it a bit and it is a fantastic bit of kit. Maybe not as focused as RenaultSport thingamy nor as hewn from granite as Golf GTI but it sits very nicely in the middle imo.

I would.

What a bks.

The worst I've had in the Boxster so far is a 12 year old shouting 'fanny!' at me. On balance, I'll take it.

I don't generally read many project/rides threads, but this is my favourite

However, you may need to appreciate the lower end of the automotive sphere from the late 70s onwards to enjoy it.

This is horrible and an all too familiar set of circumstances. I wonder whether such behaviours are the reserve of our fair Isles? I've long been off the mindset that nice things can't be left out where the great unwashed can get to it. I've seen people climbing on complete strangers cars for pictures at car shows because they felt "that's why they're here", brolleys scraped down the flanks of cars, a woman wheeled her suitcase in to one of my cars transfixed on the conversation she was having about shoes with the woman behind her........the list goes on.

Not being able to have, or enjoy, nice things because other people ruin it really is one of life's st tricks.

That's bloody lovely, irrespective of plate.

In my head (and without bothering to Google) they've got about 300bhp. Now there's the Aston-MB tie-up, I like the idea of the last gen 63 lump in that body.

I would go one further and have that donkey and then have it eagle-fied (if such a thing could happen)
RSW 7 litre can make over 500 bhp, or sick a V550/600 Vantage engine.
