How are you finding the car in the wet? (re: your thread in the pork section about the fast breakaway)
I almost binned the bloody thing the other week on a favourite corner of mine. I must have been a bit too keen on the accelerator but it's not like I was trying to get the arse out, just pushing on a bit. Genuinely had no idea a car could get that sideways with all stability systems on though. Same scenario in the M5 would have been feeling a slight, controllable squirm at the rear and a quick flash from the DSC. This was full on having to spin the wheel like a mad man, up the bloody grass verge stuff.
I've since got 17's on the car and matching Continentals all round, wheel alignment on Friday. If it still feels unpredictable after all that then I just can't drive.

Ooof. That is lovely. I even quite like the wheels. My w124 has a 3 litre non turbo diesel with around 100bhp so is a little more pedestrian...

An all original Gary n'Tracey I'd like that too - have to find a Sprintex for it though

As mentioned previously I haven't sorted out my car magazines since moving in (6 years ago) - but I couldn't help dig this one out earlier:
"only" 4* from Evo - hard engine but soft suspension seems to be their summary. But perfect for haring across Europe in (apparently). Let's see!

Interesting, I wonder if that is typical of Porsche stability systems, to let so much slip before intervention. Keep us updated on how get one.I must have been a bit too keen on the accelerator but it's not like I was trying to get the arse out, just pushing on a bit. I'm looking forward to reading about the trip report. I've booked myself on the Silverstone GP track day on Sat 17th December in case anyone feels like joining me (or popping in for some passenger laps).
I might also try Hethel in November with LoT if they're happy to let a Stuttgart gatecrasher on.

I'm hoping my alignment is out quite a bit. Any BMW system I've tried would sort out any slip without really requiring much in the way of opposite lock but the PSM wouldn't have managed the same there.Patrick Bateman said:

PSM in my c4s keeps anything I throw at it nice and tidey. You might get a bit of slip but only monetarily before the system gathers it all up. Perhaps a smidge of steering input needed but serious oppo is not required. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
