Ooof. Two cars which feature very highly on my want list. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/b...
Stunner.
So, my DB7 isn't going to be ready tomorrow after all..
I'd asked the dealer to refurb all of the suspension bushes for me (thanks for the advice jeremyc - they also came up as MoT advisories) and it's taken longer than expected so won't be ready until later this week... Which is a shame as I was planning to drive up to Birmingham to meet a mate for lunch tomorrow.
At least in the meantime, I can appreciate how much money I didn't spend compared to the PH cover story. Sure, I'd love a GT over a standard manual DB7 Vantage, but for £80k?! I don't think so!!

But perfect for haring across Europe in (apparently). Let's see!
I'm looking forward to reading about the trip report. I've booked myself on the Silverstone GP track day on Sat 17th December in case anyone feels like joining me (or popping in for some passenger laps).
I might also try Hethel in November with LoT if they're happy to let a Stuttgart gatecrasher on.

Now that looks like it might be just the job in a year or two. For the time being I've decided to go second hand rather than brand-spankers.
This little blue thing is being delivered tomorrow... A late last-model (R56) Cooper S with lots of options boxes ticked.

I've been using our (2005) Cooper S a bit recently - and it's really growing on me. Even though its 11 years old, has a clunky gearbox and a bit of a flatspot around 2-3k rpm, there's something quite endearing about it. I think we'll be letting it go when the Golf GTI arrives (date still TBC), but I have a feeling we'll miss it.

Wow. I love that. I wonder if it drives as well as it looks! Big fat slicks and RWD turbo V6 certainly sounds like it should be fun.
Disagree - big fat slicks and RWD turbo V6 sounds quick, not necessarily fun.In terms of outright fun, though, I reckon a 200ish bhp Caterham on road tyres on a track is the most fun I've ever had and hard to beat.

That GTV is lovely, but I think I prefer the 75

Knowing you like your old 911s on here, seen the latest update to Harry's Garage and the 993 GT2-alike?

I don't think there is any car ever that looks more right than that. Absolutely fantastic. Do I care that it's not a "proper" GT"? No, not one bit.https://youtu.be/jp-CwxIDlWw
