I'd feel a bit nervous about the E34 M5 but the rest look pretty harmless to me? In particular I can't see the Clio causing too much trouble?
I'd love another E34 M5, but they do scare me a bit as an ownership experience, especially in 3.8L-form. And the engine in mine didn't even blow up!Great cars if you can avoid rust, electrical issues, burnt out looms, wonky suspension,...

Thanks chum and without boring people too much....
This is how our Vauxhall would have looked originally, a 4 seater tourer but was really the first 'supercar' as such as despite it's somewhat staid looks was a very fast car for the time (100+mph). The model designation was 30/98 with the 98 referring to the horsepower. It's little known that Vauxhall of this period were very sporty and desirable cars.....
Ours is a 'Special' with unique bodywork, shortened chassis etc. This is a nice picture of it....
Interesting. The big day has finally arrived!!!
DB7 delivered this morning and I'm now sitting back reflecting on 150 miles in it.
It has such a sense of occasion. A proper car. It still feels like I've borrowed a posh friend's car.
You really have to concentrate to drive it slowly. Give the accelerator the slightest of lips before releasing the clutch. Too much and the revs flare; too little and the revs drop as you engage the clutch. There's drivetrain shunt at low speeds too.
But.. give it an open A road and it flies. The engine is awesomely powerful. It doesn't scream round to re red line but has tons and tons of torque. It doesn't seem to matter what gear you're in over 40mph. Just a slight flex of the ankle and it goes and goes!!
Driving on some open dual carriageway and motorways it has loads of power in reserve. I feel like I have to concentrate to keep it legal otherwise the car would sweep up to 120 without breaking a sweat (or so I'd imagine...!)
The kids fit in the back and seem comfy in there. The boot is big enough for 2 big bags and kids scooters and a few other carrier bags etc. The stereo is great. It's a vintage Alpine with a 6cd changer and amp on the boot. Looks like it was there from new and still makes a great sound. Not sure I have many tapes left for it though!!!
Overall it's an awesome mile muncher. Not great in town and I already feel that it doesn't like to be hurried around twisty back lanes. Haven't pushed it much though as the whole day's driving included the whole family.
But my overwhelming feeling is that it's a proper posh grown up car. Lots of positive response from other people and just as I parked it up I couldn't help but sit in it for another 5 minutes and then walk round it. It's incredibly beautiful and extremely powerful and I love it!!!

Sounds absolutely fantastic Rejn, can't wait to see it. They really are great cars and the way they devour A roads et al is phenomenal and the overtaking potential is just fab. I was very impressed and I bet JeremyC will remember it fondly

I was just running it in for you. It's all yours now. And that torque: should you choose to you'll find you can pull away from low speeds in sixth and keep on accelerating up to highly illegal speeds. I did see 163mph easily in the 1.6 miles of runway at Bruntingthorpe ...

Did he go to Goodwood last Saturday do you know? It was our last VSCC event of the year
Morning, saw him yesterday. No, he didn't go. He was talking about making a special himself though...Good morning at the C&SC Show yesterday. Seems that there are many cars being dragged out for sale - there were no less than four 512BBs there being flogged.
Some nice metal at the Coys auction. I'll take Rod's old Muira please.
I also liked the 911 recreation and Range Rover, but not at their estimated prices.
And then in the show another Muira to take home.

That Muira 'SV' has been passed around like a dirty book - was up for sale at Amari for ages at proper SV money.
Also the Singer look-a-like has been hawked around too - the owner wants Brewster's for it.
