Oh and when I parked it up it's in good company!!

Awesome.

How do you find enough hours in the day to both look at and drive it?

The chap that bought my M5 from the trader I sold it to got in touch with me on facebook and he's chucking over £2.5k on it at CPC on the rod bearings and timing chain.

It's a satisfying feeling knowing that the car you lavished has found itself in the hands of a like-minded individual rather than some wker who's 'slammed' the thing and put 20 inch replicas on it.

That auction car is one of the few genuine armoured cars I've seen rather than cars that have had their double glazing mistaken for armoured glazing.

AFAIK the armoured equipment adds near on half a ton to the near two ton of the standard 7 Series so imagine the crippling effect on the already not great mpg.

Masses of welded in stuff and the stuff that isn't welded in needs lots of other parts changing to accommodate the normal parts.

Very costly to do and just not worth it. You'll want the air-con in tip-top condition as the rear windows don't come down at all.

Ha - to me that looks like the only part of the car that's showing age. Apart from them, it looks as if the photo was taken in about 1995!!
