Those are good, right? biggrin

Nice to hear of someone willing to splash the cash on a high miles quality car.

rein, when are you looking at moving? Sounds like some Thread beers in London should be organised before departure.

Great idea. How is mid January for London drinks?

Yah. According to the owner Phil there almost never sees them like that.

Bits of the chain guides were starting to break up though...

Agree. I did reflect upon that earlier. When you look at some st that sells for uberbucks then that's not that offensive.

964 Targa or 997GT3.

Tough choice.

Not.

Wow. There are some incredible prices there. It all seems a bit bizarre. Was that really just the result of a bidding frenzy from private buyers? Who'd bid over 500k for a manual 599gtb? 40k for a seemingly normal Integrale. 60k for a variety of cars needing restoration. All very odd and I don't believe it bears any relation to real market values.

It certainly makes £85k for a 997gt3 look like good value!!

I've never understood soft top 911's, they just don't look right to me. The rear looks like a massive blob with the roof down.

do you know how much the labour was for the bearings and bolts?

Tempted to get the same done @ CPC myself for my M3.

My immediate thought on seeing loads of extremely high prices in a less conventional sale in Italy was that there was some involvement from unusual parties.

Was the car park full of shiny maseratis? (or have I just been watching too much Godfather/Sopranos!!)

Hmm, one can imagine some scope for money laundering with buying/selling old cars amongst associates and charging inflated restoration costs etc.

Given their rarity, this isn't that batst. ISTR the last one which came up going for a number in the mid to high £300s.
