That is one sexy beast. I think the E46 is one of the most handsome (if not the most handsome) 3 series model line so far. And I'm actually a huge fan of the E30 and E36 (and don't dislike the E9X).

The spanish E46 M, with CSL-like addenda (front air-dam, boot lid etc.) on nice wheels and a drop on some tasty suspension is pretty hard to beat as an attainable, desirable performance car. For a saloon at least... hehe
Bit like my old one? Manual, PSS10s, Apex ARC-8s, Turner Motorsport chassis gubbins/Geoff Steel fast road set-up, PBMW Brembo 6 pots, OEM CSL boot etc. (Pics here pre-suspension adjustment)

Own an LCI E90 DCT now. Very different beast, both utterly brilliant.

^^^^^ I love an E46 in Imola! (really miss my Imola Z3M).

Is it just me that hates the current trend for £POA?? FFS, just tell me the price. Genuinely puts me off. A car I might otherwise have thought about I just think I can't be bothered if it's POA. I guess it must just be me, or I'm in in the minority, as if it didn't work then traders wouldn't do it?

The car that triggered this, an E46 CS, something I occasionally look for, as 1 day I fancy an E46 of some variety:

That seat looks a bit knackered for 35k (based on my own car as a comparison).

That aside, I'm thinking that the price could be somewhere near the mileage.

I'd guess they're asking low-30s for that one, given the combo of mileage and spanish.

A word of advice though: get an independent inspection done.

I'd keep it.

That way he'll still have it when he realises he doesn't like the M4 and won't have the ballache of finding another.

Do you know what your acquaintances father is looking to get for it?

[really shouldn't be looking at more cars, I already have 2... but everyone knows the optimum number of cars is "the amount you now have + 1"] yesdriving

Not exactly, no. The plan, I'm lead to believe is 2 cars in to a new M4 with minimal, if any, cash input. The daily might be £15k to the right person.

Interested in the CS if he might want a private sale. If he does, PM me with details. beer

That seat looks knackered. Here's "our" CS at double that mileage, just before I sold it.

yes

Mind, I used to move the seat right back getting in and out (I had one memory saved for exit and entrance, the other for driving!).

I know the guy who's responsible for the engineering/production side. Top bloke, owns a business making high end carbon race yachts.

Some lotus dna in the chassis as he borrowed my car when the clams were off so he could 3d scan the suspension. No idea how much of the geo he used in the end mind but I think at least the non PAS set up crossed over.

He's already sold a few. Hoping to drive it once the demo's are ready.

A spoiler-free E36 coupe is still a lovely thing.
