That 200 Quattro is rather cool isn't it and £27k in 1989 made it a rather dear car!

I've always wanted a Pearlescent White Audi S4 ie of this shape....

I certainly find the S4 a very handsome car. Once in a while I see an estate version in (avus?) blue - looks great.

(Apologies in advance to those who aren't interested in this stuff, I really do need to keep my inner car nerd in check sometimes wink)
Is this where we challenge you to name all the Porsche parts fitted to the RS2? wink

Love that. Shame these are getting a bit steep now, I remember when you could get a slightly ropy coupé for all of £3k.

Six speed, later coilpacked ABY engine, decent colour and looks pretty well cared for.

From memory, it was:

Wheels
Brake disks and calipers
Hubs (PCD is Porsche, not Audi)
Wing mirrors
Steering wheel.

The Turbocharger was a KKK one, but was also used on something Porsche. I can't remember what.
The inlet manifold was badged "powered by Porsche", but wasn't actually a Porsche item I don't think

Injectors, exhaust (I think) cam, exhaust system in general, intercooler, water pump, airbox and ECU were unique.

Wheels are the trick part of the question: they're not exactly the same as Porsche Cups - the 'ole in the middle is a different size. nerd

Other bits include: wing mirrors, and I believe front fog light and indicators. smile

Interesting re turbos, as it doesn't seem to be the same as the KKKs in the 968, 964 3.6 or 993. So have done a bit of digging, and it seems to have been an upgraded K24 that KKK adapted to Porsche's requirements

I'd always thought the K24-7200 was used on one of the 944/968 family, but turns out it wasn't.

That is another for a 100k garage for me.

Just a superb car.

Ok time has moved on but I would still love one.

The prices continue to climb as the cars get harder to find.

That looks great too.

These are also very hard to find in good condition.

Loved the Audi 80 as a car anyway.

LHD only in saloon aren't they? Hence bloody rare!

I remember a mate picked up an Avant as a trade in for £800 in the mid 00's.

Jeremy Irons was using one (an Avant) up until quite recently here in Ireland. And I have to say I'm quite tempted to try one (or an S2) as an occasional daily runner for the winter

The bigger worry is that Audi are pretty ste at keeping parts supplied for their older models, something their competitors are much better at. I've already a few concerns about longer-term parts availability for my B5

That was the B4 S2 I think
