Am I missing them; where are the prices?

I'd go direct. Prices are in $USD which will be a bit rich thanks to sterling currently doing an impression of a fairground ride!

Duty should be between 10-12% on the total value of the shipment, with VAT on top. It mounts up quickly but at a sensible exchange rate is not too bad, especially if you can get some credit card rewards to offset against it (oooh, momentary monetary debt - very un-PH!).

Ask them to mark the value of the shipment down. Don't take the mikey but 50% of the actual cost for customs purposes should help reduce your duty, VAT bill.

Look like good seats. I like the look of the folding ones for my 996 actually.

Tempted.

I predict that Olly's will be ideal for Indycar and NASCAR, whereas Moose's will suit the infield sections.

Despite your head telling you it's the right thing, it's properly gut wrenching seeing (and especially hearing) your car being driven away by its new owner.

Anyone I've overtaken should be bloody grateful. biggrin

Filling me with confidence as I'm about to see this at the weekend- http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

I linked to this fairly recently when it was actually a private sale. Seller then only mentioned an IMS upgrade, not bothering to mention the fact it'd had £7k chucked towards an engine rebuild at Hartech, having only done around 14k miles since then. Basic spec and I'm not overly keen on the black wheels but then how often does a Hartech car appear within a stones throw just as you're in a position to buy?

Wow. I look away for ten minutes of tax-paying activities and all porcine hell breaks loose hehe

Patrick - get it inspected and bought!

moose - Ack.

Patrick - Scratch that, see previous comment!

Fear is a terrible thing. It's threat saps the resolve almost as quickly as its fruition saps the wallet / life force!

Mine a base spec, but it did come with a roof.

You will need to sort Bluetooth, but other than that options are nice to haves, but come second to the actual car.

3.2 is meant to be reliable so I'd hunt out on of those!
Potential IMS on the 3.2 scares me still and information on the IMS change (for MY2006 onwards) is almost impossible to be definitive with on the 3.2, going by moose anyway!

Just as well bluetooth is probably at the very bottom of anything I'd want in a car. hehe

Is a proper inspection all that essential? SP Autobahn do them and are half an hour away from the seller but what's the usual etiquette for such things? Something like deposit down to show you're serious about buying unless the inspection shows up something drastic?
