I like that a. lot. Benz-gasm.
You know you're an ageing curmudgeon when every time you see a new one you muytter "they don't make 'em like they used to...". Modern technology is amazing. The engineering is generally impressive. The performance is almost uniformly adequate (ballistic in some cases).
But the older stuff has a certain majestic integrity that the current cars seem to lack, with few if any exceptions (I can stand the S-class but WTF have they don t othe other models?!) - and I have a soft spot for the Stuttgart taxis generally.
Older cars are just generally cooler I guess!

Am I allowed to do this? If anyone fancies an E91 330i M Sport manual, get in touch. I've listed mine in the classifieds and I'm open to a sensible offer. It's a lot of car for the money IMO.
And now it's at my house . Stopped in via German vs Japanese car show on the way back home, and hung out with some old Mazda 323F's that are still on the road (don't ask - but reasons involve far too much sentimentality with my first car!). I think I shall be getting used to this effortless wafting along and creature comforts like climate control that you don't have to turn off when the engine is idling because it puts too much load on the engine and automatic windscreen wipers!243 (28-08-2016) by Chris Reeves, on Flickr
I'm already tempted to put darklines on it, but will work through finishing off Mr Oz's niggles list first . It will also have a coat of BH AutoBalm on it before the day is out too

Nice one Chris. Hope it gives you many happy miles. I think it's a great car and it handles brilliantly on the Bilsteins. Keep us posted! 243 (28-08-2016) by Chris Reeves, on Flickr
