As Butterface said, some years ago LE55 TAX used to be on a Bentley. In working hours it was usually parked outside a major firm of lawyers with a wide range of interests including trusts and tax planning in Bath. Seems that the owner gave advice worth paying for.

After Starbucks, Google, Amazon, BHS (not that it is likely that the owner of the plate was involved in the planning that those companies used to minimize their tax liabilities)... the environment may have made it a little uncomfortable to have had it on a Bentley.

Not sure if this one counts. I liked it as it was a bit different to everything else on the road.

Blimey, that 79 LG must have cost you twice what the van did!

If you turned up to detail my car I'd assume you were overcharging wink

Good effort. A 2x2 plate, about 20-30 grand? so 40 grand for the van wink

My initials & 77 is for sale widely at £30grand...

The 3 is the B.
Cerbera owners seem to like it anyway.
It came with the car, just got to change the plates for correct spacing.

That's an amazing price for a 2x2 plate, can't have been on the open market?

Original issues tend to be worth more than auction plates. Yes you got your plate for a hammer price of sub £4K... but by the time the buyers premium was added, along with VAT, along with the assignment fee you paid it was a bit more than £4Kyes

From you gran? wink

Re auctions v original issue, No 2x2 is ever going to be an original issue though is it? It will have been around for decades.

I read that auctions usually go for more as folks are after a plate they've wanted for years.

Online most 2x2 are 20-30K or more.

A few recent ones from West Yorkshire:
H 14 on a Porsche Macan in Leeds - must be an early issue?
CBC 1 on a 7 Series was parked next to the Porsche above!
LVG 1 on another 7 Series in Leeds, probably not the ex-Man Utd boss!
1 MFN on an Audi RS6 in Dewsbury.

B16 LAD on an Evoque at Birstall McDonalds - not one for the purists, but made me chuckle.
Y4 RNS on a BMW 630i outside Lawton Yarns Mill in Ravensthorpe.

LOL if you're that sure of the market then buy mine for 10k and make a killing then...you've just had 2 people tell you that they cost no where near 20-30k.
