They are rare so a store of wealth for many, they look smarter than a long plate (to me anyway) personally I don't see the point of a long number plate that spells your name/some word/model number of car etc..On the other hand, i don't get these really short plates like '7 H' - what do they mean to the owner? The smaller the plate the better in my view anything above 4 characters is pointless to me.
