What's use of a full main dealer history I ask you!

Every car I've bought that had a complete or almost complete service history had cabin filters like that. Not always the engine air-filter, but the cabin filters have never been changed on any of them, despite the fact they should have been done 3 or 4 times at least by the time I got hold of them.

Are they difficult to change? I ask as they're usually pretty easy to change. If it's a genuine dealer history that's really taking the piss in my opinion.

Looks that way. You should see a decent improvement in efficiency.

Change them, they are not terribly expensive. The loose dust isn't that much of a problem because it's easy to blow out, the oily gunk is worse. My company vehicles air filter gets much worse than that and needs cleaning every day, but it is meant to be cleaned out. Even so, it gets a new one every other service.
