I went for an interview at TWR back in the 90s (still waiting to hear if I got the job, btw), and after the interview, the chap took me for a tour round their garage/storage area. In a dusty corner at the back was a white Transit, and after seeing Astons and other various cool stuff lying around I thought, "Why is he showing me their tatty utility van?" Then he said, look at the rear tyres, and I saw these massively wide boots, then he said look in the rear window - and there was the complete XJ220 subframe and powertrain. It was the test mule for the mechanics of the XJ220. I assume this is the same vehicle. Unless there was more than one - surely not?anyway, he said it was huge fun taking it out on the road - at this time it was just plain white, nothing to identify it as anything other than your average white van. He said they would give BMW drivers and the like the bird at red lights and then light it up when the lights went green. The BMW driver would stare in astonishment at being left for dead by a Tranny.
Apparently, the test mule was actually lighter than the XJ220, so its acceleration to 60 was quicker, however he said the aerodynamics limited its top speed to 'only' 160mph.

This car is near me in Sussex, a little bit worse for wear than the pictures. Every time I see it, I end up in an uncontrollable fit of laughter. The last time was pretty embarrassing, the owner was filling up at the same time I was and I literally laughed out loud and couldn't stop. Whoops.

There are several Creme Egg cars at the Cadbury World museum in Birmingham - I think they are based on Mini chassis, as is the Outspan Orange.
A friend of mine saw this on the motorway a couple of weeks ago (not his video) - wish I'd seen it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbdSRin8yMU

The Clown Motor Car is registered as just that.

So must just be a blend of all sorts bolted together.

No pictures fortunately, but a mate of mine (High Wycombe, early 90s) had an Austin Princess which had had the roof chopped off and the doors welded shut. It was bright pink with yellow flashes sweeping back from the front, and on the bootlid there was a script saying, "Pink, isn't it?"
It was advertised as a Maserati replica when he bought it. From certain angles, in the right light, and with the aid of the right pharmaceuticals I suppose there was a resemblance. He used to call it the Visual Violation. When he moved out of his rented house I think he abandoned it in the garage and it became Somebody Else's Problem.

Not the craziest, but my old Skyline use to get a few stares when I took it out.
Bought it as a track/drift car but used it as a daily driver for a few months. Sold it back in 2006 and when I look at it now I think what the fk was I thinking.
It did back up it's ridiculous looks as it was running 400bhp at the rear wheels, which wasn't bad for a GTST.

It's no good just painting it pink. You need an SEP field as wellIt was advertised as a Maserati replica when he bought it. Not a car but a van made from a child's toy ride.

They've also added a GSX-R 600 engine to a mobility scooter so it can beat a Skyline:
