Sat nav in mk1 Leon - not common and dash trim goes for silly money on ebay and the likes
Mk1 Leon Cupra R Recaro seats - not sure if these were an option but not that common I think early models only, mk4 golf had these in a different trim more commonly but on the leon the black with red stitching is much less common. Again go for stupid money when about, and i've only seen a few about and 1 in real life

"Mod Top" patterns on 1969/70 Mopars. A pattern aimed at trendy kids with flower power vibes ...who just happened to want a world-altering Hemi in their life. Chrysler couldn't even find an automotive supplier who could provide the patterns they were after so the materials had to be sourced from a manufacturer of shower curtains. You could spec matching interior upholstery to go with the roof.

When we bought our smart forFour I noticed it was quite well-specced (for a smart car anyway) - satnav, auto-wipers, auto-lights, headlight-wash, trip-computer, 5th seatbelt, yadda yadda yadda...
But there was a weird metal bar thing attached to the front of the passenger seat which people caught their feet on as they got in/out. I had it removed when it went in for a service - they said it was the bracket for the fire-extinguisher option! They'd never actually seen it "in the wild" so suggested it was probably a demonstrator car early in it's life.
I kept the bracket just in case...

My 300TE has electric memory, orthopaedic, heated seats which crucially means it also has a telescoping memory steering column. No manual adjustment for reach was ever offered on the W124 so it's a god send for the taller amongst us. It also has 4matic 4WD which is perhaps more of a model than an option, but at a £10k premium in 1992 it's definitely rare!
My E39 528i has double glazing which is certainly rare on 6 cylinder cars (less so on 540is and M5s)

Loads of cars now come with Panoramic sunroofs, some as standard, like the 5 series GT a colleague has just ordered.
Rare Options? Leather again would be my suggestion: MK7 Golf R, it's £1,750 for the Vienna leather or £2,615 for the Nappa leather
The nappa leather seems to only come with a carbon "print", bit of a beauty in the eye of the beholder going on:Rare Options? Leather again would be my suggestion: MK7 Golf R, it's £1,750 for the Vienna leather or £2,615 for the Nappa leather
If they offered it without the print I might have gone for it, but I went with the Vienna leather. The Vienna leather is "ok" and nothing more as it feels like pleather, at least it should be hard wearing.
Climate/acoustic glass seems to be a rare option on cheaper cars, I wouldn't be without it.
