It's not that rare, it was just a £1200 option iirc
£230 on an M3 in 2004.
Yes, the rear sun blind that came out the parcel shelf was nothing like £1200 on the E46s I ordered it on

Much more like £200ish

Rear folding seats on an E36/E46 saloon weren't that common I believe

Had it on both mine though

BMW E39 5 series integrated sun blinds. Specced them on my company car when the kids were small, so much more convenient that the stick-on versions.
My 530 had these and the rear sunblind didn't realise they were rare at all lol

The 3 series saloon and coupe had the option of an electric rear sun-blind from the E46 onward. Adaptive cruise was also an option on the E90 3 series of which I've only seen a handful of.

Climatronic on the Mk3 golf was a good shout. I've only ever seen two.

Keep that to yourself mate, the hard of thinking need to a 25 year old stereotype to trot out to save them thinking for themselves.

Illuminated rear panel for an R32 Skyline.
Didn't know they came from the factory like that.

My R33 GTS-T has a moveable front spoiler with buttons on the dash, first came out on the R31 apparently and very rarely seen on a R33 smile

Can't say I know a hell of a lot about rare specs but I'm aware that very few Megane 225s were spec'd with Xenons or Climate Control. Two things I wanted as my previous Clio 172 had them both as standard.

The ex ordered a Twingo 133 and specified the panoramic roof which was a £750 option, quite hefty on a relatively cheap car but was excellent from inside and looked like a black roof from the outside.

yeah it was quite special

carbon everything , embossed everything , leather steering column lol ...painted seats on rear

gave the insurers a problem when I binned it sadly ...as their policy was replace or cash ...so they gave me more than I paid for it as they
couldn't find a replacement

any way ill add that one leather steering column ...now thats gotta be rare on a 911 as a option

Adaptive cruise control on countless recent mid sized BMWs, Audis and Mercs

I've become really spoilt by it with my Golf Mk7 which had ACC standard fit across virtually the entire range. Trying to find a 2-3 year old replacement where the original owner has specified is proving challenging and time consuming!
Few of my colleagues have Mk7's and I was quite surprised to learn they all had ACC as standard. Great option though, they seem to love it.

One that seemed heavily pushed at the time (I seem to remember that it featured heavily on one of the TV ads) was the panoramic windscreen (or should that be middle-aged receding roofline?) on the Astra. I've seen it in pictures but never spotted one on the road - I believe they also offered the same concept on the zafira too, but never seen one of those either.

My last E39 540 had these, along with double glazing, electric steering column with comfort assist (seat and wheel moved out of the way) heated steering wheel, glass sunroof heated memory comfort seats - certainly one of the most options ticked E39 I had ever seen.

air cooled seats are far too rare an option, they should be mandatory like airbags and abs
I had air cooled seats on a 2003 Mondeo run around I owned for a while and they were brilliant! I had no idea it had them when I bought it and found out by accident later. laugh

The seats each had a single set of "+" and "-" buttons, with a five light indicator that lit up red in increments to show the temp level. On one occasion when turning the heated seats off, I accidentally pushed the "-" button one too many times, and was surprised to find the indicator light up blue!

Cooled seats seem like an awesome option...I believe Insignias had these as an option for the drivers seat for a short while, certainly in SRI trim.

Xenons also a very rare option on the Astra H

Some of their options are rare for sure. I know people often have the extended leather interior to the dashboard or the extra door leather.. But leather trimmed seatbelt fasteners, steering column etc..

Would be pretty cool to have every piece trimmed in leather, but I wouldn't want to be the person paying for it!
