I thought this was a wind up when I heard it on the radio this morning.

I passed 2 of them on my way home.

Also, while sitting in the inside lane in stop start traffic on the toll road, two motorcycle cops crept up the hard shoulder looking in every car. I think they were Pokémon hunter hunting biggrin

Saw some lad earlier crawling along our high street at about 10mph with his phone out the window, can only imagine he was on a pokemon hunt. Last weekend, on the 3 peaks challenge, there were people trying to get a signal to grab a pokemon on Ben Nevis...

Yes, really, I'm afraid.

I'm beginning to despair as time goes on.

10 days ago they were reporting 21 million daily active users in the US alone so yes, I'm afraid grown ups are playing it.

more on topic. I get my 9 year old to operate it in the car - he has pulled off a number of successful driveby captures.

Almost exclusively,

I think it's most popular with people who played old Pokemon as a child

In Sydney, i'm seeing so many people on their phones at the lights having a go at catching Pokemon!

It should be 12 points on your license, a 3 year ban and a $5k fine.

I've had people at work tell me that they take longer routes driving home in order to 'catch more pokemon'

I play, im only 21 so I think its allowed as its something I grew up with. Nostalgia and all that.

Petrol stations while waiting in a queue or the Burger King drive through are always a good place to catch them while out ;P

I'm not going to play it myself however I don't think it's sad to play it, fact is an awful lot of young adults who play it are those that would normally sit in their bedrooms, lights off, curtains drawn playing Xbox alone and watching porn(possibly). This is getting them out, exercising, socializing and making real life friends, building confidence, the confidence built will get them into work if they're not already, to me that is just what these people need.

Anyone who plays it while driving is an utter tit though and should be banned.

Standard PH response, I don't like this therefore everyone who does is a moron. As opposed to the millions who play Candy Crush and the like.

Agreed though that any who plays whilst driving is a twunt.

Or alternatively you could grow up and stop playing children's games.

Why does it matter what other people get up to in their personal time (provided it isn't done whilst driving of coarse)?

There's a very large section of society that would think chatting on a car forum is pretty sad too.
