There are a few versions of the auto that it became downright confusing!!!!

4.7 GTS MC Shift (Robotic Manual Clutch, newer low friction engine power hike in MY2012 4.7 MC Shift from 434 to 444 bhp or 440 to 450 PS (same as Strad power))
4.7 GTS Auto (ZF Box, identified with quad pipes rather than MC Shift Ovals, although the GTS Auto with sport pack added side skirts and oval pipes!)
4.7 Sport MC Auto Shift
4.7 GT Sport is 2013MY onwards and is the current production model - seats, steering wheel, skyhook settings all changed together with a new nose, DRLs and new wheel choices.

Confused yet?

biggrin

Absolutely sublime, this is my 6th Trident and by far the best, planted, beautiful and handles really well for an 1800kg+ car. Drive one, you will be smitten! The 4.7 GTS MC Shift is the pick of the bunch unless you have strad money.

Does it? Sorry about that. To be fair they do need an X pipe or H pipe to give them a slightly louder more fruity tone biggrin

Had mine (2013 Sport Auto) about 15 months. They're a big heavy car, and being naturally aspirated, you do have to get up the rev range to deliver any sort of performance. They're very much a cruising sort of vehicle (clue's in the name), but if you do poke it with the angry stick and unleash all 460bhp they will really shift. You can get 27mpg on a long run, but more realistic is 22mpg, which can fall to <10mpg around town.
I had a parking sensor pack up, replaced under warranty, and it's had four new tyres, but the fronts were replaced under warranty by Pirelli due to a manufacturing fault. The rears just wore out, I just don't understand why....
The one thing I wish it had was the ability to make the exhaust loud without having to stiffen up the dampers, which makes it uncomfortable on typical road surfaces in the environs of London.
Also, beware the large front overhang, and note the nose is bloody miles away and can't be seen from the driver's seat - those parking sensors are there for a reason!
Overall it's a great piece of kit; supremely comfortable, relaxing to drive, quiet inside when you need it and noisy when you open it up. Some of the infotainment bits are are least 2 generations old, but ultimately who cares? Just look at it.....!

I live in rural Perthshire with easy access to some of the finest driving roads in the country so I chose a car with the MC shift box for more drama and better weight distribution and the MC handling pack for the twisty bits. The car was superb fun and coped very well with some very challenging roads, it disguised its weight very well and was perfectly capable of being a sports car as well as a GT.
It was a very enjoyable car to own and provoked an overwhelmingly positive reaction, which was nice.
If I had lived in a busy city I would have gone for the auto with the standard suspension.

I have a 2014 MC shift sportline .. often wonder whether moving up to the Stradale is really worth it or not. What does it do better?

2014 Sport MC AutoShift, Mega car eats the Miles, done 2 Italy Trips in it and numberous Scotland visits.
Does everything very well, quiet on Motorways and then Button pressed in town for the Noise.
Best of both worlds.
And with a 9 month old in the back enough space for the baby and all the gubbins that comes with him for 2 weeks holidays.

As I am so confused about which is which these days !!! Which is this one, is it the robotised manual ? or the auto ? i.e. does it have a gear shifter in the middle or not ?

ZF Auto gearbox not MC Shift( Robotised) but with the 2014 Sport they made exhaust noisier and shift map different so for me it gives me the noise and quicker shifts on the auto but not the Brutalness of the MC Shift box which is awesome Yes but only when on it full chat.
Round town or in normal driving I couldnt get on with it.
