Wheel bearing?
Discussion
Same thing happened to me last week in my 981 Boxster. Rear offside also.
As I was very close to Porsche Tonbridge, nipped in and they agreed with my small stone theory but couldn't easily see the stone as it appeared to be on the inside of the disc.
They also advised that the rubber bush under the brake pedal could be also have been exacerbating the problem by not releasing the brakes fully. Seems this was a known problem on 981s and that there was an upgraded bush available which they would fit under warranty. So booked car in for both things to be resolved.
Interestingly and the same as OP, whilst reversing down my steep drive and braking this morning, the suspect stone dislodged itself. As I was already booked in this morning at Tonbridge, drove up there and they changed the bush while I waited.
Excellent service from Porsche Tonbridge.
