Currently looking to buy my first Cerbera, I posted an advice thread up a couple of months back and Ive done lots of research into the car. Ive also been out in a PHers Cerb which was fantastic and it's really pushed me to purchase a car. The problem is I cant seem to really find any that fit my budget or requirements (20k, Stand out colour, v8).

I dont know if my budget is too low or it's not the right time of year to buy. Ive been checking PH/Auto Trader/Ebay etc. everyday for a weeks now and nothing has really come up. Any advice on where else to look?

Also can any of specialists source me car if I give my requirements? How good is this service and what rough price am I looking at?

Thanks

Beety

No firsthand experience myself but this chap gets a fair amount of airtime: http://www.jamesagger.com

PH and TVRCC would be my firm recommendations, and caution against the others rolleyes

Despite the fact that I bought mine about this time last year, it is a bad time to be looking.

A lot of owners are probabky planning on enjoying their car now for the few more days of summer we might get. You will find a much more interesting selection around February or March if you can wait that long as owners who gave garaged them for winter reach the point of thinking ”Yeah, OK, it's been great but I think I'll let someone else enjoy it now" or "Not using it enough and it's a shame" etc.

I might be tempted out of mine but it wouldn't be for 20k... 4.5 in Halcyon Midas Pearlescent, full black hide, air con, sub 40k on the clock. I've spent 15k in the last three years making it as close to perfect as I can, but if the offer was right...?

There are two £20k 4.5 in the PH classifieds right now, neither seem to be deeply flawed from what I can see in the ads. What do you have against them?

Any news Pilchard8?

If not - and colour is still a key factor - robsco's has recently been resprayed and may be up your street. He's based up here too.

Sorry for slow reply. Ive had a few emails off people on here and Im in talks with The_Edge to buy his. Im just waiting on the inspection for that one this weekend. Robsco's Cerb is the perfect combination for me (yellow, pre fl lights) and it was what I was originally searching for but after looking these past few months my budget is too low for such a car. The 20k is max I can do at the moment and this week alone theres been some very nice examples on autotrader/fbook for sale. No idea what to do.

I could wait a little longer and have some more money saved but then I might as well buy in the new year when the weather picks up again. I did want to get into one now and get a few months of use before storing it for winter.
