Powerfully built company director - 320d
From experience the 320d / A4/A5 TDI are the sales rep cars of choice
The 520d is reserved for the sales manager / company director they report to, as they couldn't possibly have the same car despite it being what they would have chosen themselves.

I can answer the Qashqai one too - people who aren't really that bothered about cars but want something big enough for a family of 4 (or dogs) with nice gadgets and ticks as many 'average person prefers' boxes as one car can tick for £20k. The same demographic who 15 years ago bought a mk1 Focus 1.6 petrol.

If you had a job you would buy something better than a PT Cruiser.

Electricians - Vauxhall Combo
Gas Engineers - VW Caddy

For some reason this seems to be the norm around here.
Gas seem to prefer Berlingo. isn't Caddy a bit posh?
