It has some interesting details to the design but overall its a mess
I'd agree with that. Seems to have missed the mark somewhat.

Using BMW engines (like Morgan) seems a sensible option though. It'd be nice to see the company do well.

And it still manages to look better than that awful bd child of a cobra and a p1800 that they have shown us frown
I always had a soft spot for Bristol, (not that I could have afforded one or Tony Crooks would have sold me one) but that thing is vile

As a serial buyer of Bristols old and new, even I am not interested.

The width of the sills! Or rather the distance from the sill to the door aperture. My god, you'd do a hamstring getting one leg inside it. No rest for the left foot when not using the clutch (no space at all), massive tunnel intrusion in the foot space (because the occupants are sitting so far inboard). The pedals are upright too. Looks uncomfortable to sit in. I can understand understand using off the shelf engines and stuff, but no excuse to execute such a badly laid out interior.

Sorry,... I have never "got" Bristols.....ugly cars £100,000 overpriced.

However, I accept they are exclusive, sought after,.... (and to be fair, I have never even sat in one.)

I'm sure there are nicer cars than this for nearly a quarter of a million pounds.

It's an odd looking thing and on first sight it's a bit awkward, but I don't know. The more I look at it, it kinda grows on me in a curious way..

I quite like it.

It's totally Bristol! You have to 'get' Bristol to like it I think. They never followed the trends but always seemed to have loyal customers who appreciated 'bespoke'.
Which is why they went bust. Three loyal old customers with inherited wealth don't amount to a viable business model in 2016. New-TVR must have a better chance of selling cars than New-Bristol. But everyone who might want either has probably got an Old-Morgan alreday.

bad logic Oz.
'everyone' wants an aldi stbox.
they're wrong ;-)
when it comes to cars, real quality is hard to sell these days. which is why aldi move forward, lotus backwards and porsche sell lard-ass suvs & diesel caymans.

Is this another of those, "only REAL ENTHUSIASTS can appreciate the cars" thread? At which point it transpires those REAL ENTHUSIASTS are all pottering about in diesel hatchbacks and have no intention whatsoever of buying a sportscar.

I've always owned sportscars but I wouldn't touch tat like Bristol with your money. Which is presumably why Bristol, and other REAL ENTHUSIAST car makers, go bust.

I'd love to see Bristol survive and I love the fact people are still building weird sports cars in a world of four-pot EPAS Boxsters... but I'm not quite sure why you'd buy one over an Aero 8 which has the same engine, is lighter, actually has proper weather gear and knowing Bristol's pricing will probably turn out to be a third of the cost.
