I shudder now, thinking about it, but it actually went in fine and never leaked.Last year at my parents house they were clearing their garage and found part of the square of roof I cut out, which is now on the wall in my garage. The last extant part of my first car.

I took said Fiesta with me when I lived in France and it had "rally brackets" with Rally Giants on. Ny best friend over there had an uncle who worked for Valeo and one day she took me to dinner at his house. He got me a full set of Cibie Super-Oscars - a set of fogs and a set of spots complete with covers at cost - which came to 19 quid!When I cane back to the UK though I took them off; theft of the covers and the actual lamps was rife and I just didn't dare have them fitted. As far as I know they are still somewhere at my parents house, in boxes.

For my sins I was a Halfords boy from 85 to the 00's when Halfords purchased the Ripspeed brand name.. Some of my recollections...
The joy ride era..
Harry Moss alarms , in particular the add on ultrasonic sensor that has the KITT/Cylone lights, slide head units, krookloks, fake alarm sensors, some weird lock that disabled your head unit cassette slot.
The bolt on era..
Fog lamps, spot lamps, fog lamps in grills, number plate relocation kits, rim stock wheels,
The Timmy Mallet era..
Fluorescent wiper arm boots, wiper deflectors, rally seats, seat covers.
The early aftermarket radio era..
Audioline equaliers with power boost, enclosed parcel shelf speakers, "rubber duck" aerials, and even add on on centre consoles as in those days your gear lever just passed through the floor carpet.
The funny add on era..
Smashed glass stickers, fake mobile phones, furry dice a bizarre half a golf ball that made it look like it was embedded in your side window, door guards with trapped fingers effect, ceemore bunz the moony man. Garfield tails.. There really was some shocking s

The max power era..
Stick on Scooby bonnet scoops, alloy tax discs, TSW venoms, more gear knobs than Ann Summers has dildos, pop out screen head units, big bass boxes, induction kits and intake mesh.
Stick on era..
Fido dido, pinstripes in all thickness and colours, paint splats, model name decals from RGA, window louvers,alarmed stickers

My recollection of Max Power era mods seemed to amuse some PHers (presumably of a similar age) although I'm surprised no one else picked up on those mk1 Punto rear lights...
I mean if you want a good example of a half-arsed Max Power era car that ticks many 'of its time' boxes, picture this;
But wearing these rear lights;
The mk1 Punto in particular stuck out to me as an object which was (incorrectly) molested to the point that it became a Lovecraftian abomination in the sheer physical horror of its alien geometry.
You also see VERY few of them now- testament to what Barryboys did to them (and poor reliability/ quality).
I mean if you want a good example of a half-arsed Max Power era car that ticks many 'of its time' boxes, picture this;
But wearing these rear lights;

Exactly why I don't understand people who remove the rear wiper on cars. I've seen it done on Peugeot 205s (I suppose there may have been 205s that came without rear wipers as standard?) but also on relatively new Honda Civics. What is the point?Levin said:

If ever you thought about parting with them,..
