Those stickers like Rally Drivers do it Sideways or Stock car drivers go in harder .
"Drive it like you stole it" - often on Ricers, and very nearly on mine..."No smoke, no poke" - no longer applicable, given particulate filters.

Is that an exhaust from a Vauxhall Agila on that Audi!? DoubleD said:
I had a tax disc holder that you had to use an alan key to change the disc over, not the easiest job when its stuck to the windscreen!
I had one of them, it was ridiculous and nigh-on impossible to undo and do up in situ, whilst actually having the license itself properly aligned.I don't see anything wrong with strut bracers, I nearly got one for my Type-R, I could never understand why it didn't have one anyway. The Bimmer I have now has them on it already.

Exactly what I was thinking... But you did say "+170bhp"...
I said "~170hp" in my first post, which shows up as tilde for me.. not a plusYou're right. My bad... That'll teach me to start replying before the first cup of tea's fully downed.

Throttle bodies? Pish. Stick some carbs on it then it'll be proper!
There is the guts of a Lexus V8 in my garage which I'm modifying the heads for, with some very silly cams to go in at 11.5:1 complete with a big 4 barrel to throw fuel at it.
Should be wonderful.
I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the dreaded "3/4 race cam" and extractors, to go with the sidedraft (Weber/DellOrto) carbs. There is the guts of a Lexus V8 in my garage which I'm modifying the heads for, with some very silly cams to go in at 11.5:1 complete with a big 4 barrel to throw fuel at it.

Who needs idle anyway?
And any thief who can start it from cold deserves to keep the car, if they can get it down the drive without stalling at least twice.

I knee what you meant though
Ah yes, Max Power. Ashamed to say it inspired some of my ideas .
The Laguna lip mod. Had one on my 106 Rallye, mounted upside down. Also had a radar detector .
With a big thumbing stereo, which I quickly took out because it completely ruined the handling. Also had a Green open air filter, which sounded great, but only sucked up hot air. Got that replaced with some shady cold (ram)air intake because I couldn't afford a proper Ecosse one. And of course with an OMP strutbrace .

And this on my old sunbeam Ti
It barely idled and was a nightmare to drive.

That's not strictly true. There are quite a few Duratec engines running huge power and going way back I remember C20XE's not being that far behind. It all depends upon budget.
Hmm, i guess this was out of the realm of possibilities for non-race cars TBH. But yeah, throw a LOT of money at it, and a lot of doors open up.Im halfway inclined to shoot the alfa shop an email asking what they can do for my 1.6, but given that i have the variator-less version, im not sure itll take 2.0 cams without a problem

At one stage I used to make a mug of coffee in the morning, go out and start the car, and sit in it drinking my coffee and nursing the throttle to keep it running. By the time I had finished my coffee, I could start the drive to work without it cutting out every time I took my foot off the accelerator. And this on my old sunbeam Ti

Nothing under 3,000 RPM, and it got on the cam at about 5,500 .
In hindsight, it was an undriveable POS, but I loved it.
