And this on my old sunbeam Ti

It barely idled and was a nightmare to drive.
Wow....not only a fellow ex-Ti owner, but a ex-tweeked Ti owner thumbup

And yes, mine had, bored out block, proper Webers & K&N's fitted in place of the detuned OEM ones (they were knacked anyway), Kent cam, big valve head, Skip Brown Group A exhaust manifold and system, and Bilsteins/tarmac springs.....oh and a quickshift....115 rampant horses at the rear wheels biggrin
Had such fun with that car......happy days.

Bring back "deep button draylon" I say.

I saw a late 70s early 80s era hot rodded pop the weekend with a very similar interior, it had worn very well!

I can almost see this coming back when the hipsters discover it...

Love this and recognize so much of it!

I'm going to add a couple:
1) Interior neons - gotta love your nike airs glowing away with random light coming from under the glovebox - bonus points if running off an ugly visible ciggy lighter adapter.
2) A-Pillar gauges, proper fast+furious stacks of two or three in a cheap plastic pod - bonus points if the boost gauge in itself causes a minor boost leak!
Haha, you jut reminded me of a Mighty Car Mods episode where Marty wired up some footwell Neons so every time they went on boost or full throttle (something like that) they would light up and flash. Disco Boost! Haha

biggrin

I had a pair of those fitted into my Sunbeam Ti back in 1986 and then swapped them over into my Sunbeam-Lotus - they were ace.
Obviously still in demand as late as 2004, as when my garage was broken into, and my Ducati Monster stolen, they broke into the Sunbeam-Lotus and nicked the parcel shelf with the Pioneers fitted into it!!!!

Probably 20 pages too late for this, but there is one I do actually miss because on the right car it worked very well.
Not the horrible wheels or body kit on this, but the single wiper conversion

Ah yes, the sound system designed to cause serious head injuries to rear seat passengers in the event of a collision!

If you're going for the split-screen Morris 1000 look.

Christ on a bike. Looks like a papier-mâché body kit and the wiper is shocking.

Had these on my 91 Prelude but not playing Dixie. The standard electric units packed up so I fitter a pair of horns and air unit. Whilst I was in there I discovered the car came with 2 horns so I fitted another full set on the other side. Next MOT was a shock for the tester when he leaned in from out side the car to check the horn. As it did not respond to a quick "toot" he held it down and smacked his head on door frame as the compressors got up to speed.

Hmmmmm.........deffo not zoomies.

I think he did run a set of sidepipes on it for a bit, not long though, they were the ones with the cheese grater type pipe cover.

Thrush sidepipes!

My Escort van had all those mentioned above, back in the 70's. Along with a pedestal boot spoiler (on the roof) and an 8' long whip aerial.
