Got my licence with that little dodge !
What was the dodge? Technically a 3-wheeler? Could they have more powerful engines or something? The sidewinder was nothing more than a small tray that allowed the bike to lean normally but also to be classified as a sidecar.
Meant not having to buy a learner spec bike to start with.

Perspex headlamp covers
Although they did save the Cibies being smashed by flying stones during spirited cat-and-mouse down country lanes
( plus the top tint on the screen ......for low winter sun obviously...... )
That van looks like it's liveried up as a Blakemore and Chell service van. They had a branch in Newport when I was a lad in the early 1980's. Although they did save the Cibies being smashed by flying stones during spirited cat-and-mouse down country lanes

I remember all of the mods mentioned!
I've not read the entire thread, but has anyone mentioned Lockwood white dials?
I had them in my Mk2 Orion 1.6i Ghia
The Lockwood dials (in red) were one of the first modifications I made to my Renault 5 GT Turbo when I first bought it back in late '98 I've not read the entire thread, but has anyone mentioned Lockwood white dials?

Saw a UK car with yellow headlights in the Cotswolds today. Think it was a Renault. Like the French ones you used to see often in France in the 1930s to 2000s. Something like this.
