That's me officially old then, I had one on my car!

I never did the fury dice, the dice lock knobs or dual name sun strip though. Younger members might need to look those up biggrin

I genuinely looked into setting up a franchise for one of those, this is why I'd be a crap business man.

Undercar neons. Used to be a huge thing, but you'd consider it even easier with LED lights but you just don't see it.

Amazingly, you can still get these... but you don't see many people fitting them these days.

What about a Garfield stuck to the window? And maybe half a Garfield trapped half in the boot.

To be fair, when I worked there (1997/1998/1999) they were doing great (I actually worked for Elmgrade Ltd. the people who operated the 'Elf' brand as was in the UK and they had 3 franchises). My best mate (still is) got a job at head office at Dunstable and had a whale of a time - i think mainstream Internet killed their mail order business model - but at the time they were petrol heads through and through - with some cool solus products too (Hartge mail order, Carlsson etc.). Plus I loved it at the time, selling cool car parts to other enthusiasts, 'them were the days' wink shame reality and a mortgage caught up... biggrin

haha my old astra in 2014, it had 6x9s in the parcel shelf and everything, plus the interior from an sxi, mine was a lowly 1.8 sport. I lowered it after that picture but don't have many pictures of it.

My current car has wind deflectors, tango'd indicator lenses, a sound system banger style crude speaker install but ive been going for a more 90s look. I'd stick a hekenblende on it if I could find one too.

Crafty, where is that second picture, is it near Manchester I seem to remember being taken to some car meet there by my dad back in the late seventies, remember the big industrial building, somewhere Stockport way ?
No idea, found it here : http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/history-archive/s... there are loads of 70s pictures on that thread and various other ones there, all you 70s weirdos can go reminisce over those dodgy interiors and the rough top less birds in custom car biggrin

Actaully there are some good threads on Rodsnsods that document the early years of hot rodding and drag racing in the UK. All way before my time but if doesn't hurt to know your history.
