You don't like the car (not in every respect), that's your opinion, so you've shared that, no big deal really and not everyone will have the same view (good or bad) but it's always good to see a view from someone who actually owns a car and lives with it daily. Too many people have an opinion on cars they've never been in.

Hope you enjoyed Killin at least - I live there.

Beautiful place! We will no doubt be returning next year and hopefully stay at the same house. The Falls Of Dochart pub was probably the nicest pub grub i've ever had. Beer battered Hallumi! amazing.

The Falls is indeed good! Likely to be under new ownership next year as it's currently up for sale. The Bridge of Lochay at the other end of the village from the Falls is also very nice. Regarded even higher than the Falls by the locals.

You should recognise the first couple of minutes of this:-

And a very brief one at that too!

The OP could have shared his Audi after sales experience a little better and also could have gone into a little more detail about the suspension issue, but he didn't.

Sorry to say but the OP's write up was not that good.

Worst carpool yet. It's got a nice stereo, here's the mpg, I don't like it. Scintillating stuff.

A car flitter if ever I have seen one! Over 50 cars and in their 20's. Buys Audi and complains of no "soul".

Not learnt much in purchasing history....

Oh well, at least they have buckets of cash to waste on trying cars out for a week or so. What a dream...

What an odd Carpool/thread.

And indeed, I am struggling with all of this one as something just doesn't add up for me.

YMMV.

I like the look of the saloon more than the hatch, I heard they might do an RS3 version I think that would be ace !!

It's odd, as when the saloon came out, I absolutely loved it. It was also incredibly well received on PH. As time has passed, I much prefer the hatchback - particularly in 'sportback' (5 doors) mode.

Easier said than done. Reviews are a very personal thing I guess. Just have a look on an audi forum. 50% will praise the car, 50% will slag it off. With dealerships only really giving an hour's test drive at most, its hard to judge. Also, I did not know audi's customer service would be so poor prior to actually experiencing it.
Unfortunately Audi get a lot of bad press on PH, I agree with you on Audi not been the best with their after sales service.

Complains about it having no soul or connection and then considers buying a 1 series or a range rover...... good thinking.
Having chopped in my S3 albeit the 8p model for a 1 series M135i, the difference in occasion is amense. Hearing a straight 6 turbo on song has without a doubt mad me think I don't want any other engine in life, ever. ✊💦💦 I don't think I will buy an Audi again having had a few in the past, also got to point where I can afford a RS4 dream car, but didn't. For me it has have that thrill factor, feel like your wrestling with the wheel when you press the loud peddle. Also find yourself driving like a dick trying to get the rear end out, just really because you're by yourself and it makes you smile.
I really like these though, I think they look way better then the hatch. With the S3 I think it was a combination of S-Tronic super smooth gear change and the Quattro making it all I bit to sensible for me 😋

Of course it's soulless - all run of the mill audis are. Why would you buy this, or a golf, or any german snooze box?

These saloon A3s just look right to me in terms of dimensions, handsome car.

Wouldn't own one though, definately go for BMW. Very chuckable and endless fun at round abouts with TC off biggrin

What an absolutely crap carpool. Must have taken all of five minutes to bosh out. A real shame, as the S3 saloon is definitely one of the more interesting cars in Audi's range these days.

I wish I'd known how rubbish Audi aftersales is! There were numerous issues with the suspension, yet they persisted in saying it was a characteristic of the car.
It says a lot about both - how bad quality of the 'high(ish)-end market' car and aftersales.

Because other people have different priorities and preferences to you perhaps? Not really a difficult concept.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's automatically rubbish or that it shouldn't appeal to someone else.

wouldn't say my s4 is a snooze box (or run of the mill), lovely inside, goes like stink, handles great, sounds awesome as well.

alot of people don't want to be wrestling with a car at 10/10ths all the time. S range Audi's aren't track focused stripped out hooligans, they're fast road cars.

Doesn't make them snooze boxes

Credit to the OP for his frankness and couldn't agree more about the s3.....totally dull car

Forums have too many fan boys who rave about a car us because they bought one.....OP is just telling it how it is

But do tell us how on earth you've owned 50 cars at such a young age!!

I've owned about 50 too but I'm a lot older!
