Don't get me wrong i don't "hate" the Tesla, quite the opposite it's a fantastic car, but what it isn't is "exciting" just because it is fast!
I agree, it isn't exciting just because it's fast. It's exciting, and I've taken one around the hill circuit at Millbook, because the weight is down low and it handles like a much smaller car.

Combine that with being fast and you've got something you smile about. I've also used one for a week and it's very usable.

Nothing really new or interesting about the exterior design, it's just a very simple combination of long bonnet, cab rearwards, silly big wheels (like all concept cars have anyway), chopped looking roofline that probably wouldn't make it to production. And it must be super heavy to yield only ~4s to 60 from 750 hp assuming that isn't a typo. I hope that enormous 'engine' bay is stuffed with the finest batteries to at least justify the silly size/shape/weight in some way and give it a useful range.

So a hugely long bonnet, on something that doesn't even have an engine.

Apart from 4 front wheels, it kind of reminds me of this, in an unnecessarily gigantic proportions way....

Nitpicking because I do think it's very pretty, but the flares at the back wheels are too pronounced for this type of car. That's a sports car trait, and looks a little silly on a big luxo yacht.

I'm a grown man of 40 and still enjoy "blasting off the lights"; it has never got old and never, EVER, will.

If Mercedes can price this around £12,000-£15,000, then I would strongly consider this.

Certainly, appeals in more ways than the Kia Picanto, which is currently the likely next purchase.

The Mercedes is slightly longer than the Picanto, so would need to think carefully about on street parking, before committing to purchase.

Very odd that not in the comments, nor in the article, the Excellero was mentioned.

A one-off test bed supposedly worth 8 million!

This looks even better and has the potential to, as said, give those people the chance to separate themselves from all the rollers and bentleys their friends have.
Agree, saw this car at FoS some years back, very impressive, must be loads of PH-ers that remember that.
