Car Arrived - Wrong Colour
Discussion
I must admit I think it is a bit cheap! They have agreed that it was ordered in Tornado Grey. We had written off the Brown as being possibly a bit of a difficult col;our to live with and so while it looks nice its not my choice. I turned down the offer but they said they could do no better than £200
Not trying to be difficult but I think they are not really compensating properly for their admitted mistake.

They can do better and deliver the car you ordered. I'd be rejecting it for sure. If they still don't play ball then speak to Audi UK.Not trying to be difficult but I think they are not really compensating properly for their admitted mistake.

A sh*t brown A6? That's going to have a fantastic resale value!
No thanks, not even for free.

Send that right back!
Before I get to make the decision of speccing a new CC or take cash option I have been assigned an allocated car.
It's a Brown BMW 520d- someone in our company had chosen to order that way..
It's not a traditional brown but more brown/ silver but honestly I think it looks utterly crap.
I see all other 5 series specced in normal colours and think they look so much better.
Fortunately it goes back in a few months ...
Is it a company car or is it yours ? How many buyers do you think will want a brown Audi when it comes to resale?
Reject the car now!
Years ago, back when the E46 3-Series was new, my dad ordered one of the very first Coupé models, a 328Ci as it was known back then. He'd ordered silver, but it turned up in Topaz Blue and without the Xenon headlamps he had specified. The car was otherwise as he'd ordered, but it turned out again to be some sort of dealer mix-up and he got a little money off IIRC. They gave him the opportunity to reject the car and wait for a new one, but due to it being a new model, he would have had to wait a while.
He took the car and enjoyed it, changing it for an M3 a couple of years later.

Brown is quite a popular colour again this year. I personally think some of them look OK (the new Superb is one that comes to mind), but maybe I'm getting old. In your situation OP I'd be launching it back up their arse and telling them you'll wait for the car you ordered - with a car to drive in the interim. Errors like this seem quite common with VAG. Briskoda is full of stories of manuals turning up as DSG (and vice versa), colour errors, alloy errors and more. I'd be amazed if it wasn't more widespread, though VAG do seem especially good at it lol.
If I ordered a car in grey and it arrived in Brown I would even sit in it. I'd just ask them when my grey one was going to arrive and what they were going to give me to drive until it did.
If they tried to tell me I had to take it and offered to fob me off with some fuel and an umbrella as compensation, I'd be in the Dealer Principal's office discussing how much money their error was going to cost them.
Simple - don't take it away, don't drive it, don't look at it. Reject and ask when yours is arriving.
