Spare wheel (a Lexus one as the RX8 doesn't come with one)
A pair of hiking boots (no real reason...)
A small can of oil in case I get low away from home (RX8 smile )
A Renault branded golf umbrella which hasn't been used in years...
Picnic blanket (again, barely used in years...)

A Golf Umbrella
litre of oil
gloves
scissor jack and a couple of tools
jump leads
sillicone spray
old man rag (for checking fluids)
microfibre cloth
bird guano wipes
couple of spare bulbs
and a shopping bag. The golf umbrella is tucked behind the seats and the oil is in a Velcro pouch, Everything else is under the boot floor, and there's a first aid kit underneath the passenger seat.

Standard car tool kit and a set of these (not in the box, just placed around the spare wheel).

Whatever came from the factory in the spare wheel well.

In winter a tow rope may be added, since I live rurally in northern Scotland.

For 99.9% of people, all this crap being posted above is just ballast, space consumption and noise generation.

I don't even carry all that st in my TVR.

Not much to be honest. Microfibre and glass cleaner, in the tire well I have a 12v tire pump and that's about it really. That's in the E class, in the CLS I don't have anything other than the standard tire pump it came with.

I'm quite minimalist with anything in my car to be honest.

kept in the car: 12/240v inverter, lifehammer, cheapo multitool, tyre inflator, jump leads , at least two sets of spare bulbs, torch, headtorch, can of tyreweld ( we have a full size spare but you can never be too prepared - also could help others to get back on the road) mini first aid kit, 2x usb phone chargers - on in front one in boot. Thats as well as the standard stuff like alloy wheel key , jack , wheelbrace ( keep intending to replace that with a telescopic one but never get round to it.) jack etc. need to get a warning triangle at some point - and maybe some hivis jackets.

A vast amount of dog hair. Plus some jump leads and a tow strap just in case, along with a 5L bottle of water and spare bulbs.

Ditto. Absolutely nothing, can't bare things sliding about, spoils the stripes hoovered into the boot carpet.

Just the factory stuff under the boot floor, all new and never been used.

My microfibre cloth and interior dusting brush stays in the centre console so I can have a quick dust when traffic jams permit smile

Having things rolling around does my head in. All I have in the boot is oil that's velcro'd to the side.

Why? Do you have a very unreliable car or no shed /garage at home?

I bet poor old Jack is pissed off being carried around in the boot with that lot.
