A woman worth having is not going to give a stuff what car you drive. If anything, they are put off by a bit of flash.

For the eleven years I have been with my wife people have been telling me I've married above my league. You know the sort of thing - "how did someone as stupid and ugly as you end up with such an intelligent and attractive wife?"

When I first met her, I had a Fiat Uno 1.0.
I see what you mean, but the last thing I want is a wife, they don't have to be marriage material laugh

To all those suggesting 2 seaters, the guy wants to pull the birds and maybe have a bit of fun in the back seats.

What's wrong with you?
Good point, recommendation amended from a Z4 to a V70 with a matres in the back hehe

Seriously though, OP is newly single at 24, time to establish a minimalist looking bachelor pad to take the ladies home to, having a grope in the back of a car is rather "nah, cant go home to my place luv, well wake me parents up"
rofl I have managed to get the ex to take a lot of the shabby chic bks furniture we've acquired and started removing the Laura Ashley wallpaper already. Operation bachelor pad is well underway, not a scatter cushion in sight!

Come on, you are setting your sights much too low. A Mercedes CL, the four-headlight model (C215?) is within your reach, and so to my surprise is an early CLS, although it would have to be a petrol CLS 350. Even better an early Bentley Eight may well scrape in and you could always sit in the back seat and share the contents of the cocktail cabinet while waiting for the AA to arrive cool

It's a Rolls Royce.

The key is to remember that there's no point trying to get the newest car you can which will still end up looking old in the modern age where everything is bought spankers on finance. Something a little older is a classic and the choice of a discerning gent.

Let's face it - he's 24. The women he'll be aiming for won't appreciate a pub-landlord S-class, 7 series, Jag or a Jimmy Saville ageing Roller.

They're much more likely to be impressed by a Corsa VXR or Fiesta ST.

I'm in my 40s now, but even I know that 20-something girls aren't turned on by the same visions of 'flash' as I might be. Although, the really surprising thing is how many do adore the Trabi. Although most think it's the 'Harry Potter car'.

So, there you have it - younger girlies love the Ford Anglia.

OP-why not put the £2k towards leasing something, especially if you're planning to upgrade it within a year or two? New car smell is a bigger turn on than the faint niff of the previous owner's shag juices.

At 27 I can tell you that my jag was easily the car which got the most approval from ladies. Even the ones who couldn't care less about any other vehicle owned by anyone took a shine to it.

BMWs and Mercs don't tend to work in that way.

How old are you now? My recent experience of a woman a decade younger than me was that a financed or leased 1 series or A class would impress more than a 15 year old Boxster.

Seriously, girls in their early 20s won't be impressed by a knackered old barge.

27, I was 21-ish when I had the Jag. A Porsche wouldn't work I suspect much like the other German stuff, but a Jag, Bentley or a Roller somehow rise above all that and I can understand why.

I'll second the CLK suggestion...

Got one myself about 4 months ago and use it as a daily runner, private plate on looks the business - averages about 27 MPG. It's the W209 facelift version 3.2 V6 - absolutely lovely car, still a head turner (especially from the side), interior (dash, audio system etc...) all look very modern on the facelift versions. Pulls like a train and has on the odd occasion given a fair few "sports" cars a run for their money, she might be 'old' but the old girl can certainly lift up her skirt and give it give it some clout when called on. V6 produces a lovely noise under acceleration.

Materialistic young women seem to like "premium" badged 4x4s.

3400 pounds.

Im 23 and women love it, but I bought it for myself, not to impress other people with, although it's nice to hear a compliment.

Going for a drive with the roof down is nice to do with friends. The fact its not the newest model but a high spec older one with a few subtle modifications means other car enthusiasts instantly recognize me as a car guy and has led to interesting conversations and encounters.

If you buy a newer 3 series you'll end up compromising the PH factor for newness. If the only reason you do that is to impress people, you'll bore of it soon enough and it'll piss you off uf it goes wrong.

Mine cost £3100 with £1500 of repairs needed. But can get them for £4-5k in working condition. Never failed to get ladies as 20/21 year old in one of these.

Best suggestion so far.

Private plate plus some choice mods (Lights & wheels nicked off a newer Range) mixed with some tats and a cock and bull story about being a League One footballer or pharmaceutical rep and you'll have all the fake tanned punani you can handle.

In my biased opinion I don't think you can go far wrong with a CLK I've had a good few of them depending on your mileage then you have a few options the CLK270cdi is a good choice if you do a fair few miles.

The 240/280/320 (the 2005 facelift models are the ones to look for) are good swift here are a few options or you could go for a CLS.

Totty will say "oh you have a Nissan" the finer details are wasted . OP,you either go the Uno route and play dumb or care less about modes of transport or go the older Jag/Rangey option .For your sake choose the latter .
